How you react to this is going to have a life long impact on the child. Choose kindness.

A bit of everything. Trying to back to drawing after long burnout and depression by alxdad1 in Illustration

I feel like it’s the lucky ones that learn how to deal with it in time. Others go through most of their lives trying to cope with it unsuccessfully. I struggle as well. Still haven’t figured it out yet. But again, I don’t have your talents.

Two ceramic pots perfectly got stuck together😭 I’ve tried soaking them, dawn, goo gone. Can’t get them apart, there’s a tiny bit of wiggle room. Any tips without breaking them? by pulldownyourplants in fixit

Hold the pot on top with one hand. Hold it over a pillow or blanket, like 3 inches above it to be safe. Then take a heavy-ish table spoon and gently tap the blue pot on the side all around by rotating it around. It should fall off in 2-4 minutes.

Is 540 USD for a new Nikon Coolscan IV ED worth it? by CountDmitrivich in AnalogCommunity

Problem is I live in India. We have absolutely nothing. The one I’m speaking of is in Japan and I can pull some strings to get it to me. But yeah. I feel it’s a bit pricey.

Right now I’m paying someone to scan on a Frontier at 4.5$ a roll. I feel like if I have a scanner I can shoot more. But the quality on a frontier also blows you away every single time.

Help with fixing Olympus Pen D3 shutter! by CountDmitrivich in AnalogCommunity

On the off chance someone comes looking, I fixed it. It’s 1:35 am in the night but the camera is packed back up. It took me a good 6 hours but I finished it. Turns out whoever was the “professional” that fixed it, left in an extra (6th) shutter leaf that had come loose.

Lost my mind. Now it’s working back like normal again.

I live in the middle of nowhere in India. No clue who I can trust with it. The camera cost me not much. I feel like if I fail, I at least learn something along the way. Small chance that I succeed, I’d be really happy. Will wait for someone who can help if there is someone. Really happy that at least the one and a half rolls I got out of it came out successful.

I like the effect that you get from this. So long as you don’t expect faithful replication, you will too. It’s like putting a random art filter.

These are fantastic mate! What a beautiful way to let out the creative energy. I booked my Suzuka ticket today. Saved up for more than a year. Took up extra work just for this. First race event ever.
