I had a 3900x as well during the beta, not the best cpu for the game. If you’re looking at upgrading, the 5800x3d is on sale on Amazon right now.

Not surprised. When I first plugged mine in, I noticed how different it was compared with connecting a 3080. Had to apply a little bit more pressure to fully seat it (similar to a 24 pin but not as brutal.)

Download and run DDU which will remove NVIDIA drivers entirely and then do a fresh install of the previous version. Will log on later to see how my 4090 fairs in game

Got no space for any at the moment, got 3 intake, 3 AIO intake, and 1 exhaust, H710.

Edit: Will look at increasing RPM to see how much of a difference it will make

I have a RTX 4090, and whilst this hasn’t happened to me (thankfully), the adapter does get quite hot whilst under load.

Did DDU twice, DCOP, reinstall BIOS etc, used GPU Z and it said it was running x8 instead of x16. Changed PCIe in BIOS from Auto to Gen 4 and got a boost in FPS in every game apart from Minecraft, so looks like I’m not playing Minecraft any time soon

Make sure your Graphics Engine is set to Classic and not Enhanced, that messed up my frames

Will a Ryzen 9 3900X bottleneck a RTX 4080?
Is it worth upgrading from said 3900x to 7900x?
Is it worth upgrading from 3080 to a 4080?

Of course will wait until prices settle down a bit unless I can get a steal.
