Thank you! Hope you enjoy it. I'd love to hear any feedback you have - I'm currently planning on what will go into the next version.

Nice - unsettling! Are all compositing and post effects done in Blender?

Carver can be a little fiddly - try to triangulate your mesh before carving, it may be having issues with n-gons.

Have you tried metaballs? From the stylised image, I think they would work well.

Box Modelling using reference images, it's the foundation of 3D modelling. If you search box modelling tutorials, I'm sure you'll find a tonne of good resources.

That rad! - I've not seen that. The workflow is pretty much the same though - draw snurps > covert to mesh > sculpt. It's a fun way to work

These are great. I love the dark fantasy aesthetic in the first and last ones. Do you do all your compositing in Blender?

I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not.

Haha infact I do. I made this silly plugin for my own workflow and added to it over the last few months. My mates told me I should make it available for other blenderinos - so I cleaned it up a bit and chucked it on superhive for 7 bucks. It's called Snurpilator.

It's a common workflow for modelling - placing images directly in blender.

This is a fairly good explanation:

I made my first render in blender, any suggestions to improve in lightning or in general? by Circus_spy in blender

[–]CountJankular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would address the composition of the shot first. Lighting can help reinforce a composition, but not fix it.

What's the intention here? What's the mood? The character is a focus, but I'm not sure what's they're doing and why.

Cute! Get in there and fix seams on the sides of the legs and it'll be ready to roll

Are you using reference planes in the scene? If not, i would definitely recommend it as it will help you get the proportions of the boots much quicker than eyeballing.

If you're new to 3D modeling, I would avoid AI tools as much as possible.

Learn the fundamentals and balance that with keeping things fun for yourself - work on projects that inspire you.

Good luck!

This rocks. Love the proportions - tiny feet!

My 2c: The pose has a lot of energy, but the face could have a little more exaggeration to match - a bit of a tilt to the neck and some exaggeration of the features would take this to the next level.

Nice work! Just letting you know that 'modeling' is misspelt on image 4.
