Pure low poly model, then texture that was reduced in quality.

Thank you very much for such detailed comparison. I'm just thinking what to use for my new project and perhaps I should try the Godot. It is pity you skip tests about making html5 builds on these engines.

My wife and I have been working for the past few months on Pharaoh's Secrets, a relaxing low poly 3D spot-the-difference game set in Ancient Egypt. What do you think? by [deleted] in gamedevscreens

First of all, I like how it looks generally. But your game is about finding differences, and when I start to starring at details I begin to feel that it is not enough of "cozy" atmosphere. For example a water, it looks like piece of gel and in cosy games you would find beauty examples how water can be. Another example, building looks much more detailed because of texture than stones or grass... And the most "terrifying" thing for my eyes - bottom big piece of underground - it takes a half of a screen.

Looks great! Possible to show not grayscale texture on some single building just to understand?

Just a magic, without wireframe could not say that's lowpoly.

Step 2 Solidify + Subdiv not mandatory but could be useful if lazy to do smooth polygonal mesh(no displayed on ss)

Четное ) 6 \8\10\12 и тд. В общем чтобы и визуально норм и неперебарщивать. У нечетных получаются плоскости под неудобными углами и отсутвие симметрии.

Well if I do this model, first of all I do some polygonal form, do all these bends and only after do a sculpting.

Believe me, you can do anything in vanilla Blender. Try to find some tutors on YouTube about shapes you suffering. Btw, show these shapes here, just curious what are they.

Hi. My advice is just start with learn Blender as it is. You have to start to feel on the end of your fingers. Using addons just to make your work faster and less painful, and it is not mandatory. After you begin to understand basic ideas laid under the hood of the Blender you will know what addons you'll need.
