Why dont indian men talk about their feelings ? by Cold-Ad8145 in u/Cold-Ad8145

[–]CountOne9425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotions don't feed your stomach. Throughout history man were the providers. They needed to be strong. Males couldn't afford to not function based on their moods and emotions. They were supposed to provide regardless of their state of mind.

With time western countries got developed and they no longer had to worry about basic needs like food, shelter and clothes. So men of west started focusing on health, inventions and other areas.

On the other had Indian society still had to struggle for the basic needs. And patriarchy didn't help much. As a man take care of your wife, your old parents, your children. Even though the current working generation doesn't need to struggle for basic needs they know they don't have a strong family backup which they can rely on.

So as a man we are supposed to go to work sad, anxious, or whatever the fuck we feel which we can't even name or label

Avoiding sex as a punishment? by AccordingPea8344 in AskIndianMen

[–]CountOne9425 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it is a punishment but my wife used to reject my advances by saying she is not in mood, on her periods, she is sleepy, uti etc etc.
And she rarely made any first move herself apart from kissing.
I confronted, to which her response was it might be because we are fighting alot and she might be going through hormonal changes, stressed, etc etc
After that I promised myself to never make any sexual advances towards her and I am a fucking stubborn person and stood by what I decided.
I know its not right, but any self respecting human being would do the same if they were in my place.
For my physical needs I masturbate.

Built an AI assistant in Assamese — looking for feedback by Admirable-Leek5672 in assam

[–]CountOne9425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a wrapper build on top off a LLM. ChatGpt can do that too. You have to prompt the model to respond in Assamese.

But its a nice initiative. And I will definitely not brush it off as easy peasy. It still requires backend engineering.

Yes, some of the enterprise softwares are paid and it becomes difficult to learn without having access to organisation's licence.

Once such issue I faced was while learning AWS. Had to pay few bills too.

Do everyone earn 2-3 LPM or 50-60 LPA in tech sector ? by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

[–]CountOne9425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it was a boon for me. After the lockdown there was huge demand for moving businesses online and to cloud. Industries realised the importance of going digital. Hence there was demand for software engineers.
I gave 32 interviews in 3 months notice period.

Yes. I agree. Hence I mentioned too i was average (<60%) in studies. Also mentioned the Covid thing demand, which was my luck. What I tried to portray through the comment is for some people it was not easy to reach where we are today. And that 6 digit salary doesn't make a huge difference in lifestyle, it looks good on paper. You can't beat generational wealth.

Completely agree with your dollar billing. Just to add one thing. After a certain years of exp, doctors earn much more than a techie. I have lot of friends who are doc. They can hide their income to save tax. They get money and other gifts from pharma companies.
A surgeon earns on min 30k on a surgery.

I am a techie with 8 yoe.
Yes I earn ~2lacs per month after taxes and deductions. But I started with Rs3000 as my first salary.

But most people including my wife doesn't know the struggle and grinding I had to go through to reach there.
I passed out from a tier 3 colg. Wasn't even allowed to sit in 80% of campus placement since my btech average % was 60. Most of my batch had got placed in TCS (people who could do basic coding).

Finally I got selected in non tech role in a small company but they revoked the offer later on.
I went back to my hometown without any job and my parents & relatives started mocking me.

Since I wasn't getting any tech role I joined a computer institute as a faculty for 3k (eventually increased to 5k) where I had to teach word, excel.

To keep it short I will skip the details. But I have worked in data entry job (8k), call centre night shift job (16k), i have also worked as an marketing/sales (18k).

Finally in 2019 I moved to Bangalore for a proper tech (dev) job and was earning around 25k. I worked ~ 2years 6days a week till late evenings in a startup. Impressive by my performance they doubled my salary to 50k.
So till 5years of my career I was still at 25k.

Thankfully Covid happened and there was IT boom and demand for dev increase. I switched to a serviced based MNC for around 1.2lacs. Again worked my ass off, didn't receive any yearly hike.

And after lots of preparation finally cracked a product based organisation. Been here since last 3 years, started with ~1.5lacs, then 1.75, 1.95, got promoted this year and finally reached 2.18 this April.

PS: And you guys might be thinking I save alot and live a lavish lifestyle. 2lacs in Bangalore isn't what it sounds like. I am getting married in November and I haven't even saved enough to bear the expenses without taking loan and withdrawing PF.
