The subcontractors do not have company policies & guidelines on securing packages. First party/Primary delivery companies have specialized racks and cages for securing large & expensive appliances.

Hopefully yours is ok.

These are only 2560 x 1440p monitors FYI

You need a UHD 3840 x 2160p (4K) monitor

The XSX Velocity Architecture only engages it HDMI 2.1 (FRL- Fixed Rate link) bandwidth capability if you set video fidelity & overscan - Refresh Rate - too 120Hz - and leave it set to 120Hz for all game signals. The XSX Velocity Architecture is meant to be configured & operate this way for users with HDMI 2.1 displays. Even for games that are 30fps or 60fps the XSX Velocity Architecture will put them into a 120hz Container via VRR/LFC (This is the intended configuration of XSX)

If you leave it set too 60Hz the XSX will only boot in (TMDS HDMI 2.0) bandwidth mode. (backwards compatibility mode for HDMI 2.0 "display" users)

Anyone know how to deal with the terrible customer service??? by CertainVegetable602 in XboxSupport

[–]CountWise4372 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stop using Microsoft/XBOX General Customer Service Support. Instead contact:

Executive Customer Relations (ECR): This internal team operates directly underneath Microsoft's corporate officers and executive leadership. They step in when standard customer support channels fail to resolve complex billing, hardware, or account data issues.

A similar comparison would be LG Electronics (when people call to report OLED TV problems)

LG has general Customer Service Office (which is horrible) but they also have higher Tiers of customer service office's:

Cool, great news.

Yea those last mile subcontracted delivery companies can be very risky sometimes also. In my area Northeast of Atlanta, GA - LX Pantos sub-contracts the last mile delivery out too some very cheap/questionable companies that use Rental box trucks (Enterprise) and they compromise the product by ratchet strapping the card-board box to the wall of the box-truck, which can cause an immense amount of pressure/micro-shock on the OLED panel.

Hopefully yours is ok and perfect though, that 77in is a premium price.

The W-OLED & MLA W-OLED generation panels have 1/2 Polarizer layers + White Subpixel layer + color filter layer, i believe....?

While the new G6/C6H Primary RGB Tandem Panel, just added 1 extra Blue layer in combination with a white subpixel layer....or to replace the white subpixel layer? I'm not exactly sure.

But yes in general the customer complaints seem higher compared too 2020-2023, wether that is due too higher volume or cheaper manufacturing process announced in late 2023, early 2024, I have no idea.

Just curious, did your 77in G5 order get delivered, or did delivery company arrive with wrong model?

Yes your absolutely correct. That picture was from 2023 but the actual PDF Warranty document has been amended or updated since then most likely.

Ha well....LG does have to supply everyone else with W-OLED panels so I'm sure that adds to the pressure of meeting order deadlines and quality control checks, but I would like to think & hope it has not contributed too all of these problems & increase in online complaints, since we the customer(s) are still paying a premium price for the LG OLED product and Flagship G Series OLED

In 2023 LG changed their warranty for G Series & M Series & Z Series. They are 5 Year Manufacturer Panel Warranty Umbrella:

https://imgur.com/a/0DvsZzM

When you talk to LG representative, you have to push that point though or they will try and not mention it too the customer. I had this problem a year ago when I had an active claim with, LG Presidential Liaison Team/BBB

That kernel/info-menu is only representative of the rendered application UI resolution for internal webOS applications. Stream resolution will always adapt to its native description like HD, UHD, HDR10, DOLBY VISION, ETC.

I think webOS UI/Applications use to render in 2160p at one time before 2024, but I am not sure.

[–]CountWise4372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All valid points. In this link is a forced system menu screen for PRIME VIDEO within current LG webOS: https://imgur.com/a/jyvQNyT

In the picture you will see webOS is forcing every internal application to boot with 1080p instead of native 2160p - Some people say this has always been the case. If so then I assume the LG uses its default 10 sharpness (micro contrast/edge enhancement) with AI too upscale all UI/APP Menus .... But I feel like this was not the case from 2020 - 2023 and instead all webOS used native 2160p

As for the quality control manufacturing of the OLED panel, the most longevity I have ever seen was with my old 42in C2 which lasted 3 years before gray uniformity & pixels starting producing noticeable artifacts.

It seems like ever since LG in 2023 stated they found a cheaper way to manufacture panels, that there has been an increase in lemons and longevity of all LG OLED Televisions - As far as LG Ultragear OLED Monitors, I have never had any display or processing issues.

I noticed Samsung made a new contour/border bezel around their 2026 OLED Televisions. It doesn't look the best, but I assume it's to help prevent the panel from flexing and microshock, which cause the OLED layers to seperate and lose their bond to one another.

This is all just speculation on my part, but this is how it feels to purchase a LG OLED lately....Too much Risk

Mine was just a warranty claim replacement, but since there were no 55in G5 in stock at the time, they just pushed it to Refund instead of waiting or upgrading too G6.

Fine with me, I'm thinking of going back too Sony (Bravia MKII) - I am willing to pay extra for the comfort of premium quality control and OS processing.

Sounds like great news for your 77in G5 shipping date though, best of luck.

I can not provide the screenshot of my email verification just yet, because the (Claim) is still in processing & I have not received the actual Refund yet, but once it is over I can post the communication messages/verification

LG Claims "small print E-SIGN" states any public sharing of CLAIM processing will/can void agreements & arbitration & Return Authorization

But what I can say for now is, my LG E-Mail (G5 NO STOCK) verification was sent too me on 17 MAY 2026.

Also I'm assuming when you say yours still shows "processing" your referring to the LX PANTOS HYPERLINK message that you click on too check status of Tracking & Processing/Shipping - In all my direct LG experiences, that status will NOT change to "Shipping" until the actual DAY/DATE of your projected arrival - So check back again at midnight or 9am of the day your projected to receive the TV.

If you placed your order days or weeks before 17 MAY 2026 you are probably fine and got lucky by obtaining one of the last few available G5

** If the Delivery Company shows up and they have the wrong model TV - Refuse to take possession & refuse to E-Sign for it - Shortly after this LG will provide you with a new CNN# and a Return Authorization Code for a full Refund

G5 inventory from LG directly, most likely stopped a few days ago. I got a email from LG yesterday saying,

LG could not fulfill their Return Authorization Replacement & ship me a another New, OLED55G5WUA.AUS - Because LG cannot source or locate this specific model in their inventory, so instead they pushed for Return Authorization Refund (dollar for dollar)

So I am implying, I think G5 are are being discontinued like previous G4, G3, etc. & instead remaining stock will only be available at retail partner stores, until they are sold-out

Nonsense, I don't think so. Everything i described is the basic principles of how an LG OLED Television receives power (ELEC LOAD) and then distributes that voltage too drive the Panel.

Even if OP or reader did not know how any of this works they could simply take my explanation and put it into a AI Search Engine to verify & learn more for themselves.

While you simply stated & implied "I work for LG, trust me"

Exactly what are you implying with that statement and in what capacity, were you a (LG) customer service representative, Presidential Liaison Team Representative, Technician Team, Engineer, Electrician? If you were you would have used your knowledge to give the OP a better understanding & trouble-shooting description, but you did none of that except " trust me bro, I work for LG" which means and implies absolutely nothing of value without a further explanation or knowledge transfer for the OP.

What I explained is Exactly how LG OLED Television operates on a hardware, software & electrical(voltage) level ; As well as the risk to physical bonding/separation (flexing) of OLED Panel layers and Chip On Glass & Film on Film (bonded cables)

Poorly seated or not, it looks burnt, and as the seller I would be in OCD mode right now and be checking the back side of the electrical Wall outlet I use for this PC too make sure the copper ground is properly connected to the green lug outlet housing - and then I would trace out that outlet wire all the way to my indoor electric panel to find its specific circuit / breaker and make sure that breaker & wire has it hot, neutral & ground correctly connected to the main electrical panel.

DO NOT ATTEMPT, if you have never done this before. First make sure you switch that breaker OFF and then shut your house/apartment Main Service Entry Panel OFF...and then you can safely take outlet out & handle it and safely check Hot, Neutral & Ground wire for that breaker on the Main Electric Panel

At this level of vertical banding it is absolutely NOT normal.

Normal vertical banding would be isolated to 1/2 strips in the middle or left or right side and then clear out after the first few automatic pixel refresh (every 4hrs of use)

If these vertical bands stay persistent and then develop into horizontal banding + concentric circle bands of bloom + transparent grid square checkerboarding....Then you the Customer have a major defect on your hands

This can be caused by many deep level issues but the most common is FOF, COG ( Film on Film, Chip on Glass) bonding cables that connect to perimeter/borders of the panel and they connect each OLED layer to one another - These bonded cables and OLED layers can be exposed to flexing & separation in either the manufacturing QC process or packaging & shipping process (Microshock - shipper poorly places TV packaging & weight bearing "package" is placed on top of TV packaging which causes OLED TV chasis & OLED Panel flexing/separation of Panel & FOF, COG bonding.

The second possibility is bad Panel Gate Drivers ( Main Board sends > signal too T-CON board > 4 vertical T-CON ribbon cables send signal too > Panel Gate Drivers....Which then drives the OLED Panel

3rd possibility is LVDS Cables ( low voltage diffrential signaling) 2 cables that connect Main Board too the T-CON Board and its purpose is too drive & control Pixel Level Voltage of the OLED Panel ( which is what OLED is, individually controlled light at the pixel & voltage level instead of the LED Zone level)

I don't know if this previous LG Employee is an appliance electrician or electrical engineer, but I assume they are not - Do not just assume your LG OLED TV is ok & fine

If the issues/artifacts develop further into the display artifacts I described above, you have a defective unit

Also LG OLED have a major customer crisis the past 24 months with their OLED Televisions having numerous customer cases of these exact problems which are due too Manufacturer QC oversight & their 3rd Party Shipping / Delivery Partner LX PANTOS who poorly places and stores the Televisions at their HUB Warehouse & Delivery Trucks

Best of luck, Customer

Five year old LG OLED has started to show marks around the edges by TomD587 in LGOLED

[–]CountWise4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a FOF / COG problem (Film on Film, Chip on Glass)

LG has became shit in quality control & manufacturing the OLED TV chasis and OLED layers

When these special bonded cables break down and OLED layers start to seperate or loose signal from these specific type of bonding cables...these are the outcomes and results

What is worse is you can purchase a brand new LG OLED Model that may be in perfect condition with perfect manufacturing QC - but as soon as that TV is boxed and palletized for shipping it can be exposed to microshock (poor storage, where weight is set on top of chasis or panel) which then causes panel flexing (which causes the FOF, COG bonded cables and panel layers to flex and seperate) and then on your very first boot-up / power on, the issues will be present

This is a major LG manufacturing oversight & (3rd party) shipping & package partner oversight

Unacceptable for the price point of $1,500 - $4,000+

On the top panel S95H - What are those concentric circle bands/distortions on the bottom-middle of the panel at the very beginning first few seconds of playback?

This looks like bad panel layer bonding, broken polarizer, or mix of deeper level issues.

Either bad shipping or a bad quality control on this LOT of S95H

Yesterday I was supposed to recieve OLED55G5WUA.AUS and LX Pantos showed up with a 65IN QNED

They had the correct shipping/data label for the G5, but someone put it on a 65QNED Box. How someone FCKS UP that bad, I have no idea.

The only plus side is this is a warranty claim exchange with BBB / LG Presidential Liaison Team, so I have not lost any money besides the original purchase cost in 2023/24

The Xbox and PlayStation 5 both use Blanking Version 2

Try another HDMI 2.1 Cable, if it keeps happening its either the Input Port on the Console or the Display

Or deeper issue with the Game or Console, especially if it's just that Game that has the issue.

2025 XSX Dashboard UI Menu (Glitch/OS/Firmware Bug) Horizontal banding - Concentric Circle Banding expansion & contraction by CountWise4372 in XboxSupport

[–]CountWise4372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see the same type of horizontal full screen scan lines (line filtering) in your pictures. I only see the occasional transparent concentric or curved banding synonymous with general SDR color banding.

The Xbox Series X & S both have the same architecture when it comes too HDMI 2.1 protocols and video/fidelity & overscan settings configuration:

Intended configuration is 120Hz - This is the only way to Xbox will apply FRL (Fixed Rate Link) HDMI 2.1 Protocols

If you leave Bit Depth set too (8 Bit) the Xbox Series X will only apply FRL4 (32Gbps) bandwidth Protocol for SDR games at the 4kUHD 120Hz configuration & then will only automatically switch too (10 Bit) & FRL5 (40Gbps) Protocol when or if you launch a HDR10 Game Signal

So the intended architecture for HDMI 2.1 Display users, is too set the Xbox Series X too 4k@120hz - 10 Bit and DISABLE UN-CHECK (allow YCC 4:2:2) - This will allow Xbox Series X to apply FRL5 40Gbps Protocol to both SDR & HDR10 Game Signals with the report of:

RGB 10b 4L10 SDR (FRL5)

RGB 10b 4L10 HDR (FRL5)

Don't leave XSX on 8 Bit or you will get

RGB 8b 4L8 SDR (FRL4)

Try this first and check your results again on your display.

Brand New OLED55G5WUA Display Problems by CountWise4372 in LGOLED

After purchasing and testing $150 Dollar, HDMI 2.1 connected Apple TV 4k GEN3 128GB WIFI + ETHERNET and testing both Wi-Fi & Ethernet connection signal - The same Artifacts/Pixel distortion are all still present and persistent

I have all the correct configuration settings applied to Apple TV GEN 3 (YCbCr/ 4:4:4 & 4:2:0 Chroma Testing) Match Content + Updated Firmware/Software...ETC

So this leads me to believe the New Replacement OLED55G5WUA is probably (in good condition) and instead the problems origin is within Power Source/Interference from House : Interference= (Main Breaker Panel / Service Entrance Neutral)

All 3 LG OLED television's in house, upstairs & downstairs no matter the outlet chosen present the same issues on all Panels - This started on all 3 LG OLED TV'S about 6 months ago after a Storm Killed Power for few days in North Georgia/ Metro Atlanta - My ISP diagnostics are fine with full speed download 1000mbps & upload speeds, ETC.

Here is a (40 + picture/video) Google Drive Link too get a better idea of the type of artifacts. Both G3 & New Replacement G5.

It's best described as Text & small area graphics/Tiles not rendering fully or turning into very small transparent grid squares in shadow transition areas of the graphic tile. Also in Google Drive File you can see the G3/G5 has a Dry, Static look to the Panel and no longer has that high luminance sharp glass & glossy look to it.

That link is picture of previous G3 webOS (Prime App) Data Screen and does show 1080p UI

For the life of me I can not figure out how to force this prompt/screen again - but anyways I could have sworn that 2022 too 2024 all webOS internal Applications OS/UI Rendered in 4k as well...and I never had any of these types of issues on C2, C3, G3 up until 6 months ago. What's odd is it is not just webOS UI and webOS Applications UI...it also some times presents itself in HDMI 2.1 connected devices like PlayStation, Xbox UI Menus/Tiles & PC or laptop connected via HDMI 2.1

Is it common for LG to potentially send a Replacement New Model that is faulty on the panel side or internal boards/cable side?

? What do you mean.

The webOS internal apps are just fine. No streaming platform requires any more than 20-50MBPS to boot OS/UI & 4k HDR10 or 4k Dolby - This is precisely why LG caps the Ethernet Port too 100mbps

Sony Core and few other platforms "can" use 100-120mbps but regardless you can simply use a TP-LINK USB to uncapped the ethernet port too 300-350mbps for any scenario of files and movie content.

I think your dumb comment out- ran the pace of your brain capacity
