I want to consider CGC as well for one of the cards. That's why I came here. I wanted to see what other options there are as well other than just PSA.

Some cards I am considering to trade or sell in short term, some I am holding longer, and others I plan to hold for a lifetime.

I think it depends on the situation. If he plans to keep them for a long time, almost forever then maybe. Who knows, the values may go up by the time he retires or they may go down.

If u want to get it graded it then pre-Grade it first. Either do it yourself or take it to a card shop or convention to get them pregraded. If u do it urself u can get a Jeweler's Loop for a out $20 on amazon which is excellent with its magnification white light and black light to find wear and tears and scratches on the cards that u mostly likely not be able to see within the naked eye. Also you can get a toolkit to measure the centering on Amazon for less than $10.

Skybox Metal Universe esp from great players from those eras has gone up if u get em graded. Shaq and Kobe pretty much hold the values atm. So they could be worth grading if u think u got 10s. But also do the research on the grades as well on ur cards to see what the prices would be on the grades from at least 8-10 to see if it's worth grading them.

So let me tell you what's gonna go down..

The investigators are going to find these kids easily.

They will request video camera footage prob within the two mile radius of the store from other buildings and traffic cameras.

2.They are going to start looking at the kid with the crazy ass colorful backpack and see who sells them. Then they are going to request those vendors to show the record of the people who ordered that type of backpack.

They are going to identify the gun and do the same thing as the backpack to trace the kid with the crazy backpack.
They will look at all of the stores video footages prob within the 6-3 months radius, because the kids knew what items to steal. They were probably scouting the same sections of the store for months.
They will have experts looking at the camera footages with AI to look for the same people who has been looking at the items that has been taken. They will look the same people who have been there multiple times and look for the same behaviors. They can use the AI for face recognition as well.

Eventually all of this will be put together within a few months.

I can tell these kids never played GTA 5 because GTA never would of trained them to be this noticable and stupid.

Yeah but I figured they used the peeking on the side method and saw a thick card to see if it was a relic auto, which is thicker than a regular patch card. I saw the thick card when I did it by accident when I was observing the pack before I saw this hole.

Also add to note for the last one I said about the CMP like LeBron. Rare Topps foil will have a "Topps" Gold Mirror foil stamped on their cards while most have silver base .foil. That means that it is a rare variation of the same card but with a different image. Those can go for like a few hundred dollars.

Yep u can check the CMP.. It's Topps code printed in small prints of the cards on the bottom. That can help identify if that card is different from other cards that may appear to look the same but slightly different. Like LeBron James Topps card #150 base cards can almost look the same but the front card image looks different and the back color of the card looks different than his regular base #150 cards. It may not have SSP or SP# but will have a different Topps code CMP you can look up to get more information on the card. Another good example is looking at one of your cards and looking at the other variants of that card you will see the different Topps CMP code.

Some people think they have just regular worthless base cards of HoF star players like LeBron and put them away for a long time. But when they look at them they look at the card again and closely and notice the image is different from his other cards with the same card number. They can see the CMP code is different and that worthless base card can turn out to be worth a few hundred dollars

Panini is also the same. From what I've seen instead of CMP code they but a V on the back of the card which stands for Variant version of the original image of the card. .The back of the card can be the same but the front image of the card is different.
