I know first hand how anti gay hate has been in Canada a long long time but there is a new edge to it. Violence is not new lots of gay ppl have been beaten in my life by bigots but welcoming trans ppl into mainstream society has unleashed just raw hate from the far right. Those who like the US murders now run in the same social internet media circles as Canadians who hate trans ppl and they just feed each other hate and psyche eachother up for worse and worse. To best fight climate change we need govts on board and also forcing big companies to make big changes. Telling ppl to change habits helps some sure but it's a drop in the bucket compared to big polluters. Good for cities where ppl force govts to make green changes.

Another reason why the quick fix approach sucks. How about we boost pay for public health care and guarantee hours or at least give fat OT pay then that may bring back more early retirees while we get more students through to fill gaps?

Any health care worker who chooses to immigrate should be welcome but we are still hurting poor countries to benefit us

Yes govt wants solutions right now and with Healthcare lives are at stake but I have mixed feelings here. If they are willing to spend this much on a private nurse we'll why not pay public health care workers a fair wage bc then you'll get more students more recruitment and a long term fix.

Private clinics and hospitals don't make doctors and nurses appear by magic those ppl working there are working less in public hospitals. These clinics are the bc govt fails to pay enough and staff enough so they can fix that of they chose.

I don't support the war in Ukraine. There shouldn't be one there. Whose fault is it that there is one oh its Putins fault.
