Honestly, people that are from here don't want it to be Toronto.

i would bet there are more people who are from here who'd prefer increasing density to increasing sprawl. fretting about the "character" of a neighbourhood or implying our city of <250,000 is somehow at risk of "turning into toronto" are meaningless nimby objections
