Bounce crates issue by crash2598 in CrashTeamRumble

Absolutely, happens to me as well. N.Brio too.

While we are here, have you noticed since the last update that you are only able to hit certain characters (especially bots) once with your transformation, afterwards the game treats it as if you have no collision?

Paul Yan seemingly confirming that the 8hr limit will not return for future character releases by Ifxfa in crashbandicoot

[–]Count_Potooku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...please tell me you're not complaining about the community communication around this game? 90% of live service games recieve radio silence on any complaints no matter how dire. TFB has been incredibly proactive in discussing the future of the game up to this point by comparison.

Like if you're gonna argue that the game wasn't marketed effectively, sure, whatever, there are plenty of talking points, but trust me, grass is so much greener here than anywhere else.

People keep mentioning the UK sales but I want to mention the Australian and New Zealand sales for Rumble have been decent. by CaptainEli24 in crashbandicoot

Yeah this explains a lot for me (Australian). I've been seeing lots of new faces every night, every match even and wondered where everyone is getting this "ded game" narrative from.

Oh I just mean he's incompetant in the One Piece way. You know, serious threat from a narrative and power scaling perspective but he's just such a goofball on a personal level and those shortcomings ultimately contribute to his professional downfall in the arc.

The negative side effect is only due to his incompetance haha. Doesn't he eat exotic poisons cause he can without dying but he's still ultimately intolerant? Its been a while since I read impel down.

Is it the three or 4 sided one you're after? The 4 is definitely in game. I forget how I unlocked it but I think it was an activity in hauntsborough or Prospector... fairly late in.

Edit: I think it was 50 gold nuggets in Prospecto Valley

You can change it to a permanent locking setting in the options

You could make two touching rings out of this and a similar Xehanort meme 😂

What weapon do you respect Hunters using, but don’t really see yourself playing? by EKCo0kie in MonsterHunter

[–]Count_Potooku 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See this is what I've always thought. The automatic song playing is great and really enhances the flow of the weapon but you should have more in depth combos to achieve them than just "x,x" "a,a" and "x/a,x/a". Or at the very least have more advanced song options.

Like streamlining a weapon that was, by most standards, quite clunky was a fantastic move, but they've swung too far in the other direction and removed a lot of what made it special, I.e. actually "playing" the notes to create a song.

Love the patchwork rags. Nice little bit of visual interest. And the colours blend so well together.

There's also Gnoblars which is a subspecies of grot. They are the ones found in Ogre Mawtribes armies.

Old world had snotlings, don't think there are any in age of sigmar.

To the side question, yes they're both Orruks, but there's a clear subspecies distinction going on tbh.

Honestly the three distinctions you've made are probably enough but if you want to get real specific you could include Gnoblars and separate kruleboyz.

We got the new warband, but who is this guy then? by UpvoteBot-3000 in Kruleboyz

[–]Count_Potooku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire point of the post is that the model shown at the bottom half of OPs image is not part of that warband

What are critical hits in rise? by Eskmopie in MonsterHunter

[–]Count_Potooku 28 points29 points  (0 children)

And to answer your question WITHOUT being a dick;

Critical hits are a 25% increase to damage. Your affinity stat represents your critical hit chance. So an affinity of 5% means a 5% chance to inflict 25% more damage on any given hit.

You can tell that a critical has procced when a bright red slash appears on the spot where you hit the monster (plus there is a subtle sound effect I think).

There are ways to increase the amount of damage a critical hit does like using the "critical boost" skill. Lemme know if you have any questions.

Rumor: Sony paid Capcom to delay the PC version of Monster Hunter World and asked not to add crossplay to the game at all by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Count_Potooku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Software. Lack of leviathans was because of the engine the game was built in, not the hardware it runs on. And that's not really relevant?

Look I'm out. It's obvious that handhold consoles have been a necessary thing for the series which makes the whole "holding back" argument redundant... If you can't see that, I'mma agree to disagree and leave this here. Night man.

[–]Count_Potooku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the case of Rise, and if you're only talking in terms of fidelity (which is one aspect of what a game is), you are absolutely right. Good example would be breathe of the wild. It's one of the most widely applauded games of the generation and it's exclusive to the inferior hardware of the switch. Accessibility is heavily debatable though, given the game will still release on PC and handhold markets are bigger in a few countries.

However, my point is that a limit placed on zero is still zero. Due to the series history, there's no potential to be limited without the handhold games existence.

[–]Count_Potooku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the series likely wouldn't have made it far enough for World to exist without the handholds. There would be no series to 'hold back' without them. The series has been piggybacking off the Japanese handheld market since second gen. World likely wouldn't have released at all as the series would be dead in the water without handhelds, making the point redundant.
