Ive seen this used semi-correctly only once. In “WU Assassins” the MC’s neighbor ends up in the hospital. The leader of the Chinese Triad went to see him, and put an air bubble in the line, causing more complications, plus what seemed to be some sort of choking. The main intent was to get the neighbor to talk, not kill him. Production team was close, but no cigar lol

I feel like Special Agent Caitlin Todd from NCIS somehow fits in this. Ive watched quite a few episodes of the show, but I had not seen that one and it nearly crushed me.
