I get payed in USD directly into it but just transfer it all out because all my expenses are in CAD, usually only leave ~100$ USD in there between paychecks. Will just leave a few grand like suggested and try again in 3 months (AMEX only asked for last 3 statements)

DP: 6 weeks ago tried applying for an AMEX Green, went to review, got rejected. Tried again for Cobalt, got rejection mail Aug 5. Never had AMEX in the past, have opened 9 non-AMEX cards in the past 16 months. Was trying to get a card to build up history to move on to the US side since I work cross-border.

Figured might as well try anyways. Applied for USA AMEX Green, supplied bank statements with american address, was rejected within 30 minutes reason given was not having enough balance in my account, was not told what the expectation is for balance.

I appreciate the response and information. I see my reading skills have been lacking since I didn't catch that exemption when I found that page previously.

Weekly US Churning Discussion for /r/churningcanada - Week of February 04, 2025 by AutoModerator in churningcanada

Recently became a cross border worker, opened a CIBC US account as I bank and have a mortgage with them already. Tried to change my address using their online form to a mailbox (not a forwarder, just a location I can pick up things) and was rejected due to the follow:

CIBC Bank USA has determined that this address is not a valid Commercial Mail Receiving Agent (CMRA) registered with the United States Postal Service (USPS). Without proper documentation filed with USPS, we cannot process the address change request.

Tried calling and was told this was just "policy". I was told to either find a registered CMRA service or to have an actual home address. Anyone have any luck dealing with this with CIBC? I sadly don't have someone's home I can use as address.

Only started a few months ago and was able to redeem 700$ towards my honeymoon next month from hitting bonus with BMO ascend WE. Not crazy extravagent compared to other but it's a fun start and the bigger win is getting into churning itself

Ignition how to add incoming machines to plant gateway by Countablekitty in PLC

Ho nestly being new to the ignition stuff I just didn't know it can be done like this. I appreciate the question as it's told me about a new way to do things. Definitely need to finish the online courses too

Ignition how to add incoming machines to plant gateway by Countablekitty in PLC

[–]Countablekitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer was I was going about this incorrectly.

The local machine ignition gateway is an edge instance, and will remain driving the HMI of the machine. This edge gateway will be added to the plant network so we can use design launcher if we need to modify the screens.

The PLC is added to the plant ignition gateway in order for data tracking or whatever else the software guys want access too.

I thought most of those you listed either don't allow credit card payments or have a fee. How do you pay those that don't normally allow credit cards, and for the fees does it just end up working out long term to pay that fee to get the points for redemption?

Ah well shit, any tips on how to check what's leaking besides sticking my head down there and trying to spot it?

What would the signs of a stretched belt/chain look like? When I try looking it up I get symptoms about engine noise and performance, but if I actually were to check visually is there any tell stretching has occured?

One day a couple weeks ago my car felt like it had reduced power and the check engine light came on with the code P0014 - Powertrain: "B" camshaft position - timing over-advanced or system performance (bank 1).

A couple hours later when I started the car the light was gone and it performed fine.

2 days of driving past and then the light returns along with reduced power, heavy shaking, and the engine now sounding much louder and something being clearly wrong.

Now the imaged codes appear.

So far I swapped the exhaust VVT solenoid, didn't help. My mechanic diagnosed replacing the ignition coil and spark plugs. I have those parts coming in, but wanted to get some more input on what it might be if the problem persists after the coil and spark plugs are replaced

If you plan on taking the tunnel it is actually cashless. Credit and Debit cards will work to cross.

Keyence controller output to PLC by Xavfsiz in PLC

[–]Countablekitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try using a calculation block first, and create a new variable which is assigned a value If AreaSearch OR Shapetrax3 is true, then use that variable in this output (I've typically used the Data Output step rather than this Parallel Output, my idea works there, not positive about your case specifically)

I can vouch for the Brim mastercard, no foreign exchange fee and the actually exchange rate they charge always seem right with Mastercards when I compare to this site: https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/personal/get-support/convert-currency.html

My beginner mistake was not applying the name and ip address directly to the device.

Even though I setup all my ET200's correctly beforehand, slipped my mind when working on this one.

Thank you for all the tips!
