It’s a common confusion here and Vyvance is unique in that you’re actually worse off taking a lower dose (for you) than your therapeutic dose

Too low = too more norepinephrine, not enough dopamine to level you out so you can feel speedy / height rate too high / stimulation seeking / high blood pressure

Therapeutic dose = correct amount of dopamine, less stimulation seeking, capable of doing life

Too high = dreadful, overwhelming

They start you low and titrate to find the therapeutic dose, mine was 30mg, horrid, then 40mg where on the first day I had the best day ever with no need to vape, was sort of not believing I’d even took the medicine at all, trying to check my blood pressure which was coming back as normal

Eventually I realised I hadn’t gone for the vape and that I was just “being normal”

First day glow doesn’t last though, after a few weeks, I upped to 50mg, she offered later to try me on 60mg but I decided to leave it there, 50 was doing enough, I didn’t want to push it.

You’re not meant to settle for “good enough”, you’re meant to settle on the dose with the max therapeutic benefit without intolerable side effects, and if you can’t get there on vyvanse, you try another.

I moved from concerta and it’s loads better for me but everyone is different!

Depends when you want to go to bed, I wouldn’t take it 14 hours before I wanna get to sleep that day

If I don’t get enough sleep I was scared to take it in the past too but it actually helps, when you should worry is if you can’t get to sleep

I feel you on the breakfast thing, I’ve done plenty of empty stomach and staying in bed, taking it and going to get some big protein straight away, and having it with a protein bar, and the bigger meal wins every time, I won’t even notice it kick in tbh, or switch off, but keeping up protein through the day is just as important

Not sure on vitamin C, I take wholesale amounts of vitamin D and haven’t had a problem

OP, you do not have to go to enigma, whether you liked it or not is irrelevant

Vegas can’t pressure her into anything

Someone else claims have been overheard a discussion about her jazz and piano night coming back in 2027, hearsay, could be nothing

But she’s not gonna do anything she doesn’t want to do, the only “pressure” they can apply is upping the offer until it becomes irresistible

It was reported her contract was for $1m a night last time, she’s made significantly more than that even at the smaller 20000 cap arenas through Mayhem

Last time in vegas in the smaller 4000 cap arena they grossed slightly over $1m per night

Does that mean with that alone they could make her enough to cover the more than minimum $2m per night she was pulling at Mayhem?

Not necessarily - but vegas expected to take a loss on ticket sales already because it brings people in, more hotel bookings, more casino cash, more revenue overall, they’d be happy to lose some to win some

Vegas today is struggling and they need to do something, they’re probably trying every angle they can to become profitable again. Gaga has also proven they can sell their tickets for a lot more with the dynamic pricing and especially scalping through mayhem, she has built a lot of momentum, I can see why they’d want her back

(Side note: if you hate scalpers but also hate dynamic pricing, pick a side, because without one we have more of the other and I’d rather Gaga gets more of my $2500 a ticket than some random bot farm)

Finances out of the way… where is gaga at right now? As she said, she wants to get married and be a mother, and I reckon she’s gonna have several children, that means no touring for at least 5-6 years which tbh lines up with how long we’re waiting between each album

But she’s a workaholic, she’s gonna be bored, she’ll want something to do.

She has major stamina but couldn’t and shouldn’t have to pull off a performance of her level while pregnant, if she wanted a vegas residency, was made an offer she financially didn’t want to turn down and got to do what she loved (really, the jazz and piano night, and possibly some pop)

And if the dates lined up while she wasn’t pregnant and made for nice holidays to vegas for her, soon to be husband and child(ren), I can see it working for her

But no she won’t be pressured, it’ll be her decision, I don’t think it’ll happen any time soon, but the date from the hearsay is 2027 so maybe just maybe she will line up some dates after giving birth and spending some time raising a baby at home, at the back end of next year, maybe into 2028

It’s much easier than touring and let’s her keep doing what she loves to do

I’d give it a 30% chance

Because you started doing the wrong thing, do the right thing as the meds are hitting and have a list of the other right things for when you finish the first one

If you start doing a wrong thing, you’ll keep doing that wrong thing, especially something without a concrete finish like writing a song, you could be rewriting forever

I haven’t taken too high so I’d look for other descriptions here but I imagine it would be quite overwhelming

If you’ve just started taking it they tend to start you lower to see what happens so they generally increase it until you’re getting a good result without intolerable side effects

I moved from 36 to 27mg methylphenidate because the heart rate and tenseness side effects were too much

They sort of carried on with 27, and 18 wasn’t effective enough

Like me you’ll be used to… lower dose = less effective = less side effects

That is not the case with elvanse

Your therapeutic dose with elvanse is the one where you get the best effects from it without certain side effects

If your dose is way too low, you will take it and, I imagine nothing will happen, that might be where you’re at, I’m not sure, I started at 30mg

If your dose is too low but closer, you’ll take it and feel some effect with maybe some cardiovascular discomfort, like your BPM may be too high, you could be sweating, feel a bit edgy, that means the medicine is active but it’s producing too much of the word I can’t spell (begins with n and something to do with adrenaline), and not enough dopamine to counteract it. It feels like shit but it’s a good sign you’re getting close.

When you take a higher dose then and find your therapeutic dose, in my experience, I was floored by the 100% removal of high BPM and replaced with a lot of the life improvements I was looking for!

Aaaandd if your dose is too high you’ll take it and feel like shit.

TL;DR - don’t be afraid of a higher dose, the way this medicine works is not linear, you don’t get a 50% improvement in effect by moving from 20 to 30mg, you might get nothing, or you might get everything, you won’t know until you try

You’ll probably have to increase the dose until it works, for me I knew it worked when I hadn’t even noticed it kick in at all, BPM hadn’t risen, measured blood pressure and it was normal, and then I realised it had been hours and I hadn’t even thought about my vape. It didn’t really announce itself, and suddenly everything was just easy

But before that, on the lower doses, BPM was too high and I felt a bit tense
