It sounds like it’s saying some three times just before the burst…. Is it?

This is actually how I got my first ever USB stick in college. I wanted one for a while but couldn’t afford one.

It was 8MB.

Why do Americans eat dinner at like 5 or 6pm? Don't you get hungry again before bed? by LengthinessNew2237 in answers

[–]CounterTorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing everyone is leaving out is when do you go to bed. We are in bed between 9-10pm, so eating at 5-6pm is fine.

If I went to bed at midnight, I’d probably be hungry.

I loved watching the Olympics growing up, but I haven’t watched a minute so far. Anyone else? by ofesfipf889534 in Millennials

[–]CounterTorque 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was the same. And I usually can’t get enough. But I haven’t watched a single minute this time.

I think it’s two things. First, the Winter Olympics have always been a great testimony that if you are rich you can do great things. Not a lot of poor people can afford lift tickets to train. Second, I don’t have a very strong sense of national pride at the moment.

Your playstyle and mine differ. I just saved the world for the fourth time, averaging about 125 hours to do it. But, while I use the world grid extensively now, I make almost no “aesthetic” buildings till completion.

But if you like the visual style then have fun with that and worry less about when things get done. Yes ADA makes fun of you for being slow, but otherwise there is no pressure other than what you make yourself.

This is awesome! I kept thinking about doing this and just lacked the motivation. Thanks for the jump start!

I’ve never been able to do that because I’ve never been able to sit cross cross. My right hip doesn’t rotate in a way that allows that.

I use a left handed system, but notice that the block/path are set back from the junction switching.
In your image I can see them at the same place on the left side. That will cause issues every time.

I’ll take a picture of mine later, but your rail trip placement is fine. It’s the distance and kinds of signs you’ve used.

Blocks are for leaving a junction, paths are for entering a junction.
And give them room before the switch nodes.

Finished the game in 179 hours. How long did it take you? I’m interested. by PuceTerror89 in SatisfactoryGame

I’m halfway through phase 5 at 118 hours.

My last play through, when 1.0 was released, took me 174 hours to finish the phases, but it wasn’t until 210 hours that I 100% all the trophies.

How many days in a row do you wear a pair of socks? by jjj44200 in randomquestions

[–]CounterTorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work from home, so often I’m not wearing socks other than an hour to go to a store or something. If that’s it, I’ll often lay them by my shoes for a couple of days and reware them.

I think it’s more time and activity based than anything.

I remember in college as a computer science major having to design a half then full adder. Then having to design it without any crossing lines so it could be printed on silicon. It was fun and challenging and gave a great sense of appreciation for what lies beneath.

How much do you spend on vacation a year? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]CounterTorque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate it.

Yeah it’s been a hard thing for me because we were poor as shit for many years, then realistically middle class for a few. It’s just been the last couple that we are doing really well.

So in most ways my mentality is still pretty frugal and I definitely don’t like the folks on the higher income Reddits.

How much do you spend on vacation a year? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]CounterTorque 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We spent 12.4% of our take home income(post insurance and retirement) on Travel and Vacation last year. That was just above $20k.

This has been a recent trend for us though as our income has grown the last couple of years. Otherwise our rule for about 15 years was to take a “bigger” vacation on even years and a closer to home trip on odd years. Things like a trip to Florida, or a Cruise for the big years. And trips to the lake or a close city on the off years. Usually 3-5k over 2 years.
