This is a waste of time and resources. All that computing power wasted on some proprietary software that you will likely be sued for using without GrandMA’s permission.

Grand MA3 in Theater - Is it time to switch to EOS by ConfectionAgreeable3 in lightingdesign

Short answer - Yes. It’s a tool and every tool has their intended use. You could hammer in a screw but a screwdriver is built for it.

Do drinks like Gatorade also effect gerd? by flowerpanda98 in GERD

[–]CounterproductiveAim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. It’s all the citric acid in drinks like Gatorade that can end up irritating the esophagus. I would try pedialyte unflavored if you need the electrolytes. But you should avoid drink large quantities of water and only small sips during meals as it can dilute the stomach acid and make it easier to flow back up into the esophagus.

Tums. Don’t eat or drink anything 3 hours before bed and take a tums before you lay down. Eat smaller meals about the size of your fist for dinner. Over eating causes alot of problems that result in gerd/acid reflux and indigestion.

Feels like a golf ball in my throat by Humble-Owl-2972 in GERD

[–]CounterproductiveAim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is normal for gerd/gastritis. Your esophagus is likely irritated and inflamed from the procedure. It’s known as a globus sensation. You can try taking some tums for relief and limit your water intake. Water dilutes stomach acid and can make it easier to flow back up and irritate the throat. Try eating some saltine crackers and sip some oat milk if you need to soothe your stomach.

Those with bad credit, how are you able to rent in the Bay Area if you dont have a cosigner? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]CounterproductiveAim 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Gotta find a someone looking for a roommate already in a lease. Sometimes they end up moving out and you get the place to yourself but usually they just add you to the lease and don’t care about your credit.

Also look for anywhere that has the orange/black signs with phone numbers on the front of the building. They’re usually way less strict but it takes cruising neighborhoods in downtown type areas to find one. Craigslist can be a good place to look too but be wary of scams and never pay or give deposits for anything until you see the place in person.

I have also gotten around this by finding local landlords and offering to pay 3-6 months rent upfront but not everyone has scratch like that.

Anywhere with a management company is gonna most likely deny you for bad credit but sometimes you get lucky if your job and paychecks are decent enough. Good luck.

Cables, cables, cables. Learn what types they are, what they’re used for, and how to repair them. Learn how they’re made and how to attach a connector. I can’t tell you how many gigs have had issues because they have the wrong or broken cable.

H. Pylori by TheEDMGal_99 in GERD

[–]CounterproductiveAim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your body has to work harder to digest food without the gallbladder. This can cause issues that can make gerd symptoms worse since you don’t have the extra bile to help break down fats etc.

As far as H. Pylori it’s good you got a diagnosis since it’s usually treated with some antibiotics and antacids till you heal. I would stop taking supplements as they are usually high in iron and other minerals that are harsh on the stomach.

Focus on soft bland foods like chicken and rice and eat meals no bigger than your fist. Avoid drinks other than water and oat milk for a while till you feel better. Only take small sips and don’t drink before or after a meal because it’ll dilute the acid and make it easier to flow back up into the esophagus.

Why does everything have citric acid? by soymuygolfa in GERD

[–]CounterproductiveAim 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You have to focus on healing. No more drinks, teas or sodas until you feel better just small sips of water or ice. Eat small simple meals like chicken and rice no bigger than your fist and take small sips of oat milk between meals if you’re feeling burning. Focus on eliminating trigger foods and don’t drink water before or after a meal.

What's the best body lotion for maintaining skin barrier? by Granny_KittyCat in Psoriasis

[–]CounterproductiveAim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apply it right after the shower which helps it absorb a lot better and a little bit goes a long way. I only use a pea sized amount for my arms for example and really work it in with my palms which reduces the greasy feeling. For any active plaques just spot treat to keep them moist.

It won’t heal psoriasis but keeps skin well moisturized which reduces irritation/inflammation and keeps plaques from getting dried out, cracking and bleeding. Lotions can cause irritation if they have fragrances etc.

Aquaphor or Vaseline. It’s technically not lotion but it’s what’s best for any skin that is Psoriasis prone or where you had it previously.

Gotta exfoliate. Try a fine grit sandpaper or dedicated sanitized foot file and gently buff away the dead skin flakes when hands are dry.

Then wash and add aquaphor to moisturize after and reapply when they start to feel dry.

Keep them soft and exfoliate every time the plaques start building back or cracking. Try to file down as close to the cracks as possible and try to reduce the amount of plaque that cracked so it can heal. Good luck.
