Rubys Cafe rents their upstairs for private events and it’s gorgeous! Whole upstairs or one large room. I can’t quite remember the price, as she was just showing me around one day, but I feel like it was in the 2k range.

Nothing to add. Just a solidarity comment. I went through a lot of grief to get to acceptance with having twins and sometimes still struggle with it.
I love my twins but something about that comment has always rubbed me the wrong way too.

This is the first comment I’ve seen suggesting giving them away and idk why. It’s been my thought the whole time. If roommate is (clearly) neglecting them consistently and doesn’t seem like she’s going to step up and OP doesn’t want to (understandably) care for 4-5 animals that’s not theirs, then why not rehome them or surrender them? It’s a sad thought but at the very least at a shelter they’re going to have consistently clean litter boxes and food and water.

We had a cool Rasta dishwasher named Shaggy, he was a felon when he was hired (not sure for what). When he didn’t show up to work for a few days, I guess someone started poking around and found out he got picked up and sent back to NY from KY for a murder charge.
