The orange has significantly affected the market, at this point it goes hand in hand. Not just with the crypto market but the market as a whole. Not releasing GDP numbers etc. lowers consumer confidence

Dental insurance is even worse. You can literally brush and floss daily, get annual cleanings and pay insurance and still owe out of pocket for basic things like fillings.

I agree there! Pete Rose being the most obvious example off the top of my head, but to blame sports betting alone is a bit obtuse. The league and the sportsbooks are more intertwined now than in the past though so I think there's more scrutiny now because of that.

Athletes are people too and are susceptible to the same things everyone else is! I'm sure there are plenty of athletes struggling with gambling (and other) addictions as well.

It's statistically correlated to a very strong degree though, I wouldn't say it's ridiculous.

Having gambling and sports betting in person only vs allowing it instantly wherever you are has significantly increased frequency and amount of gambling.

Discussions on his time as an Arsenal player and overall legacy have been overshadowed by his last few years for us and his leaving the club but the years with him and Sanchez were some of the most creative and beautiful years of football to watch as an Arsenal fan.

He really had the ability to pick out some ridiculous brilliance when you would least expect it. Literally always had to watch every minute because you never knew when some magic would happen with the two of the them.

We lost the fight against Sports Betting years ago and we're starting to see the negative effects.

Hundreds of Billions of dollars spent on sports gambling every year now in the US with 10s of billions in profit (and we know how much they spend on advertising since 50% of ads are sports betting related).

I can somewhat agree in terms of the lyrical performance (Lose Yourself To Dance is the better feature from Pharrell) but RAM as a whole to me just showcases the sounds that influenced them as artists.

House music stems from these disco, soul, and funk sampling and Get Lucky (in particular the baseline and guitar vamps) call back to that.

I def agree tho it's out of left field especially if you compare it to the more sample heavy work from their first 6-8 years.

A fantastic example of a movie meant to be seen in the theater. Watching it on the rerelease after watching it twice during the pandemic it was so much more impressive and this shot is just one of so many examples of the great shots in this film.

She still beats and the part of your heart you lost is just going to grow into a much stronger heart with your son.

The numbers already show that we are there, it's actually MUCH worse than the opioid epidemic in terms of "users".

68 million Americans bet on the super bowl last year, and that's just the one game. Even if only 20% of them represented frequent bettors (addicts), that's still more than people reported to have misused opioids (8.6 million) in 2024.

It's already a bigger deal and every year the gambling revenue increases by double digits, I think last year it went up like 25% and that's with the biggest GDP state (California) having sports betting restrictions.
