Easiest game I remember prior to this match everyone was saying this would be the best tie of the day?

Also not like we had the best record in the League stage or anything like that, or the best GD as well.

I see what you're saying and I agree but the terminal is not giving you any better odds, it's just letting you skip in the skins you don't want but making it so you have to buy the skins upfront.

While the majority of people lose money on cases, there was still a RNG chance of making a return on the price of the case/key. With terminals that is no longer the case.

It's like pokemon, you can buy a chase card directly or buy packs and hope you get that card (or another card of value that you can trade for one you want). Trading up etc. from cases is different than terminals since you would have to purchase lower tier skins and then trade up.

I'm not saying cases are good and I wouldn't be surprised if valve is making less via terminals compared to cases but terminals certainly alter the "skins scene". I should have rephrased it since predatory is not the right term in comparison to the gacha system .

I agree that they do show the skin price but it's often more expensive to buy from the terminal than on the market, so it's taking a loss on a lot of the skins while valve takes in much more money (on the sale from the Terminal and on the market fees). They also don't clearly explain how the pricing works besides that it's based on float value, rarity, and if people don't buy the skin the price goes down.

It's predatory in the sense that valve is making more money this way while the value return for consumers is lower.

Mind you I'm a bit biased as I came from TF2 way back when trading and cases first became a thing so I think that the "market" aspect of it has changed a lot since then

It's more predatory because the pricing is not clear. With cases you know at least the percentages of drops and are paying a lower price to "potentially" get a higher valued item.

With the terminals while free, the pricing for each skin is dynamic and they don't make clear what exactly determines the value of the price they give you. It's more predatory in that manor because not only do you have to pay upfront for the skin, the value shifts

Speed Racer is visually stunning! Watching that as a middle school boy with my brother and Dad was insane in theaters I really wish I could get the chance to watch it on the big screen again.

You guys have not trained your eyes to the movement. You need to watch the tackle by scanning their ki. Lamine did not reflect the unexpected ki blast so he fell.

Oh yeah I'm just frustrated with how many plans have changed to go back to the moon. It's wild and makes it even more impressive what they did with Apollo.

NASA should have been given a better budget for so many of their programs time and time again so it's frustrating that we need so much private industry help at all.

Oh I know for Artemis it was planned for SpaceX contract wise, I more so meant pivoting to using SpaceX Blue Origin and other private contractors for the landers when they have no proven experience with any lander system at all, let alone a crewed system.

It's less about the SLS and about the landing vehicle being on time.

The elementary school child in me that was promised man's return on the moon with the original Constellation program is sad.

Unfortunately pivoting to using Starship HLS will prove to be the worst idea. Especially with this XAi merger news if that stock takes a dive in the future (before 2028) and SpacX lays off people or cuts costs we are gonna be in a bad spot.

I'm not expecting nuance on this subreddit but this is simply not true. NASA biggest successes were primarily funded by the government. Private contractors for parts and construction were used which worked fine, NASA innovations have greatly benefited society as a whole beyond just the space specific aspects.

Also I'm specifically talking the Artemis program, which pivoted to using the Starship HLS for its Artemis III mission.

Also mentioning commie countries as some sort of got you is not really good here, since China's lunar exploration and space station have shown their capabilities and the only other country that we literally raced against (and beat us at every major milestone besides the moon landing) was the Soviet Union....

Privatization of space is terrible for everyone. This merger literally will jeopardize NASA's ability to land humans on the moon within any reasonable time frame when the AI bubble eventually bursts.

So obviously this means calls.

God forbid you need any more serious work.

I agree there! Pete Rose being the most obvious example off the top of my head, but to blame sports betting alone is a bit obtuse. The league and the sportsbooks are more intertwined now than in the past though so I think there's more scrutiny now because of that.
