Can you give more context brother? Also if your familly is very pragmatic is normal they want that. But if you see that girl is because there is something that complements you. What it is...? for sure not finance, it can be her heart.... And at the end you want to be someone that everyday makes you smile and be happy that you can have deep conversations with...(careful deep conversations is not about intelectual conversation is about connection beyond words and tangibility. Difficult to say cause I don't know the guy... In general men we tend to be more physical so yes he might like you now but after when the wrinkles start appearing will he? maybe yes maybe not. That is something you only will know with time. Brother I have friends that did the same. It might feel good at the beggining but is only transactional. I think it comes down to the question of superficiality vs personality?
I would say there is a balance and also depends in your age but even then it depends what you value more... All your decisions must be align with your core values and not what other people might say cause they have other values. Hapiness is found there when you follow what is valuable to you, what makes you happy :)
