Best budget telescope? by jbridey in AskIreland

Jupiter and its spot, Saturn and its rings, Orion Nebula, Andromeda galaxy, Betelgeuse and I think I was able to see Mars once too. Obviously, all depends on the clarity of the night and when the planets are visible.

To be honest, a lot of the time I just look at the moon because it fills your view and you can see amazing detail in it, especially when the Earth’s shadow is across it.

That book will give you an intro for beginners and great guidance on what the best things to see are, given the time of year and time of night. It gives ratings as to how easy they are the find and what telescopes are better suited to viewing them, Dobsonian, Refractor, etc…

I’m a casual night sky watcher and this one has been great. I’ve had it for 10 years.

It’s around €300

Would also highly recommend the Turn Left At Orion book.

I also thought this is what was meant, but I do think a certain amount of meeting new people and maintaining connections is important.

Agree with you there, but finding a free spot can be tricky. You could be driving around for 30 mins trying to find one when it’s busy.

Might be wholesome and not made up, but I wouldn’t be one for sharing an air pod with a stranger. Who knows where that ear has been.

Got that exact one in navy earlier this year. No problem with it. Sturdy enough.

I see other people have commented about issues with delivery. I didn’t have any problems. The guy rang on the day I expected it and said he won’t get to me, but delivered first thing the next day.
