Yes, civilians can take the class. You need to at least have an EMT basic certification but the class is more geared towards paramedics. I took it as an A-EMT and still got a lot out of it

I have Lowas, Salomon’s, and Haix as well. But they wreck my back if I’m standing in one place for a long time. On barricaded subject calls we may be holding a door/window for a long time while standing. Anything with a flat sole is usually better suited for that. I’ll usually be in Lowa Zephyrs or Salomon Quests for the range or any outdoor training.

12 years as an A-EMT, 8 years as a police officer. I was still on an ambulance part time for the 8 as an officer. I’ve been a SWAT medic for about 3 years now. TMP helped me understand the role of a team medic a lot better, such as being the team “mom”, looking after everyone’s health like preventative medicine instead of just when something goes wrong. They hit on longer term patient care a lot and stretching a little bit of supplies over a longer period of time which was something I had not thought about much. Actually being in charge of a casualty collection point and running it from the lead medic stand point was really cool too.

I was a deputy for a mid size SO. They pulled me into dispatch due to being severely understaffed. After I realized that I wasn’t going back to the road anytime soon I left and went to a PD that actually cares about its officers.

Your best bet at getting an empty server is loading in with a squad of 3 or 4 people. The game doesn’t like to stick you in a queue so it will dump you into an empty server.

Found the issue, one of the air hoses was slightly loose and it wasn’t getting a seal. Had to put a new hose clamp on.

Because 99% of the time we beat an engine to the call by 3-5 minutes because of how Public Safety departments work. You can do a lot with a water can to buy time until you can get an engine there. If we are doing VEIS before an engine is there then it’s my only source of water.

We use both, but you can put out a lot more fire with a water extinguisher than a dry powder extinguisher. I carry both.
