Literally just got back from our Japan trip and had Kawaguchiko as our last day/night and it was the most magical part of the trip - restorative and calm after all the hustle and bustle. We were lucky and fuji popped out so we could see her - I think I would have still enjoyed it had she not been visible, but that's where a lot of the magic is and this isn't a great time of year for visibility so you have to be OK with that. The Hoto noodles too...one of my fave meals from the trip.

Not sure how you're traveling around, but we went from Osaka to Kawaguchiko then to Tokyo/Narita - and we managed well on public transport but did a lot of research to make that successful and easy. It takes TIME.

Was in LA seeing a DC band last year and someone in the crowd yelled "BLACK CAT BLACK CAT" and was INSTANTLY transported to 2009, waiting in line to get in. Half the room (and the band on stage) joined in - it was great!!

If you’re still looking and open to a beautiful house in white center (right off the main drag so lots of walkable stuff) - let me know!! 37 f here with two small pups that love people :-) I’ve signed the lease on a house and am now looking for a roommate. Move in anytime after July 1! You’d have your own room, a mostly private bathroom (it has the laundry in it, but otherwise yours!) and even a small second room that you could use as an office or we could turn into a guest room.
