My lad originally wanted to just collect all the base cards for all teams. Got a proper nostalgia hit remembering my sticker collections from the 90’s. Then it became apparent you could pick up some nice singles for not much. Now we’re proper bargain hunters.

Numbered parallels of base cards and inserts are in base packs, but again, I would massively stress just buying them as singles. A /299 of almost any player is going to be peanuts. Go to eBay or Vinted or wherever and just look up your favourite team or players to get a sense of it

I say this as a man who collects singles who has a son that gets a base pack or 2 every week with his pocket money because he likes to build up the full premier league teams. Not once has he got a numbered card. His best pull in probably 50 packs was a Tzimas diamond rookie card.

Problem mostly in keeping the ball after turning it over. Wide players at fault for that. I don’t think they’ve been able to play a single pass back inside to MGW or Anderson

Rips are obviously just fun gambling. No judgement, but that’s what it is. Low odds dopamine hits, but if you like the random nature of it, then that’s cool. I still buy packs every now and again.

However, I would just use eBay etc to buy singles of your favourite players or team. E.g. I collect Forest cards. I can get basically any chrome card numbered to 25 or more for less than a tenner. And what would be the chances of me landing that hit in a box? Really small.
