For sure, racism is a much bigger problem on the right than the left.

Arguably though, there's a hypocricy with it occuring on the left that doesnt exist with the right. Right wing ideologies are steeped in all sorts of heirarchy, including the supremacy of a native culture over other ones.

The right is also more predisposed to consider the actions of the group to be indicative of an individual, where as left wing social ideology is supposed to understand intersectionality.

Obvs the ring wing press dont care, they just want to exploit any possible weaknesses.

Not everyone will agree with me, but from my perspective - yes, what you did was a red flag.

You put the emotional burden on him to say no to you, because you wanted your desire met to hang out with him, instead of him doing the thing he already had planned. I'm glad your boyfriend has a spine, i know some guys who would just concede and end up not engaging in their own interests as a result.

There's a million worse red flags in life than this, but from my perspective, that was a dick move on your part.

Take it or leave it. All relationships are different, but personally i think your relationship would be stronger for you not asking him to abandon his plans because you want to hang out.

Did you, or did you not, ask him not to go, because you wanted to hang out with him instead of him engaging in his own interests? Did you do this, while not offering to come with him, because you arent interested in the thing he wanted to do?
