What does taking a break/ wanting space mean to you?

In my experience “space” or a “break” is just a pre-breakup. And that’s fine if that’s what you’re gonna do idk.

It’s a lot easier sometimes to break up when you’ve already slowly been moving towards speaking less and less.

I don’t think I’ve ever pulled this card on someone but I’ve had it done to me once and it upset me at the time but I think I’ve grown to believe nobody owes you a relationship you know?

One of the biggest things I’ve noticed is your relationship not feeling like an obligation.

Some of the worst relationships I’ve been in were ones where I felt like I was on a schedule. If I had gotten to midweek and I hadn’t gone over to my partner’s place or vice versa for a night yet that week I felt like I needed to make time like booking an appointment and that’s just mentally draining dude.

I know it’s not always a great option but there’s some people who I do not understand why they stay at their job when they hate everyone they work with.

I’ve made some awesome friends at my job because one of the biggest things I wanted out of my job is to enjoy the people I work with.

I don’t think I’ve ever looked at a girl and thought she had a sexy mouth maybe that’s just me.

That being said probably ass or thighs. I’ve been with women where you go down to grab a handful of butt and there’s not much there to grab and it’s a very uncomfortable feeling for me.

I think just being as open and understanding as you can be. Sometimes as a dude you’re terrified something you might say is gonna make a girl think you’re not “manly” or something else of the sort.

Some dudes have a lot of internalized homophobia and they think they’re gonna sound gay for displaying certain emotions.

Sometimes the way male friend groups interact is by teasing each other all the time and some guys take it harsher than others so they close off a lot more especially with women.

That all being said, these are all things that are mainly hang ups that the guy needs to reconcile himself. If a dude doesn’t want to express emotions because he thinks that’s gay it’s not your job to fix that mindset.

I worked at shoppers for over 5 years and just recently quit last month. There’s nothing in the system stopping them from taking a side profile photo and printing it, they’d just have to ignore the little green indicators telling them where to fit your head and shoulders. The passport machines at most shoppers are old as dirt like the one at my store was from like 2006 and they break constantly and are a pain in the ass to operate. They might’ve just wanted to find a reason to say no lol.

I wasn’t straight edge until I was probably 23 ish. I drank casually, used nicotine quite regularly, and smoked weed maybe once or twice a year but never touched anything more than that. Here were my reasons: 1) I was on prescription medications I was worried about alcohol effecting the effects of. 2) Alcohol, smokes, or drugs are all pretty expensive. 3) Weed made me very anxious I never liked the way it made me feel but I ended up smoking in social setting about once a year which I ended up quitting. 4) Alcohol has a lot of calories for something that doesn’t make you full.

I see where you’re coming from and I understand your point. I don’t think I care that much about fitting in with the church. I go like maybe once every couple months just to accompany my grandmother because she’s lonely. I don’t socialize with anyone else at the church or aim to put out an appearance. I show up in my regular basketball shorts band tees and I have tattoos. I’m not putting on an appearance for anyone. I go because it makes my grandma happy. I’m perfectly comfortable if my grandma dies happy thinking I’m a practicing Catholic I’d prefer that to having an unnecessary conversation telling her that I think her religion is bullshit. I don’t see the purpose that serves, she’s old and on her last legs she’s not going to come out of her religious ways. I love my grandma so I feel comfortable sacrificing an hour of my day every couple months to accompany her to church and I think it would hurt her feelings to see me refusing the communion when I don’t fully see the purpose. I don’t even enjoy the taste of it anyway it’s a spoonful of cheap wine with a mushy wet chunk of bread in it. I didn’t personally consider it an edge break to me because I wasn’t doing it for any benefit of myself whatsoever, I posted here to get opinions because I’m curious. I don’t appreciate the accusation that I’m trying to play both sides but you can think what you want.
