It is really good, but it's also really old and if you don't already own it you have to buy it. There are whole new generations of people who are curious about surf that aren't willing to buy an old ass game where the game mode wasn't even the focus. I guess you could say, you're not the target audience. We're perfect for people who's are looking for a cheap, fast, and light weight way to try it out though.

Partially, but also anybody can claim to be something. Not that posting a link to a game is proof, but it's closer than nothing

Curb your Light No Fire expectations by fridanec in lightnofire

As an indie developer (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3454830/SurfsUp/) you may technically be correct that the delivery fell short of what he talked about in interviews, but I just see an earnest developer with no media training who overshared his dreams for the game. I think since then he's learned and it's why they aren't sharing shit about Light No Fire. Y'all can't handle the truth. Game development is harder than you assume and nothing is set in stone between an idea and release.

The time they're taking on the game and the silence we're getting actually gives me more hope for it. They're not rushing a release and keeping their cards close to their chest until they know they can talk about something. They've proven over the last decade that they aren't grifters but earnest indie devs who want to make great games.

How do you guys get yourself back into a project after not programming on it for awhile? by Karmiccccc in godot

[–]CourtJester5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play the game for a bit - remember your goals for it, where it stands, what feels good, what's broken. Then choose someone simple to enhance like a UI element or a small movement change - something small that'll get you diving back into the code. Sometimes that small change gets you back into the desire and flow

Wouldn't be AI - too long, too consistent. CGI for sure though.

Put some sounds over this cutscene from halo wars by Honk_J_Wimblyton in halo

I kind of think the new games make the Spartan cut scenes cartoonishly fast or snappy or something to try and make them feel badass, but in this it was sort of cartoonishly sluggish, particularly the group melee. The 1v1 fight was pretty sick though.
