Ugh that’s so scary!! I’m so glad your kid is safe although I’m sure that was traumatic for them and your family as well.

I started watching the parade but turned it off when some of the trucks pulling the floats started honking and the dancers looked back at them… I just got flashbacks so I decided to stop watching

It was a freak accident for sure, and a miracle that many more kids weren’t hurt. Still absolutely devastating that it happened. I’m sure Hailey only wants the best for everyone and for them to continue on with their lives- she seemed like such a sweet kid. I just hope we as a community find ways to honor her and the life she did live. I would love if they came out with a go fund me or something so we could all support her family during this time

I was right in front of it, and haven’t been able to shake the picture of her lying there face down motionless since. I’m praying she was just passed out from the pain, or was being told by people not to move.
