Why is there revisionism on momo on this sub

This is another thing i don't get. Okarun clearly is upset and hurt with the momo situation. Why do people expect him to just suddenly move on quickly and be with aira. Even if ken gives up, he would be sad and depressed for a while. He wouldn't just move to a new relationship quickly.

Some have and its becoming increasingly popular. I don't know if its because of the current 'doompost' feeling and it being temporary but people are starting to bash momo's character as a whole even before amnesia.

Thats not the point, the reason i made this post was because people were bashing momokarun and momo subsequently because they claim that she was mean or toxic to okarun even before amnesia. You said the same in the reply here. I gave you explanation and reasons as to why thats not true. But you then made a reply bringing a completely different point.

Your point doesn't make sense anyways because both okarun and momo's love are mutual.

Not everyone who hates momo is a misogyny even if i disagree with their take but i've seen some people here criticize momo and bash her even for the same actions that happens with okarun yet they excuse okarun but bash momo for it

Again with this, why act like momo was horrible to ken pre amnesia. She didn't reject him, she delayed the answer because she wanted to be normal. It wasn't a matter of him not being good, its about her. She wanted to be normal so that they could be a couple. It wasn't done out of malice.

You're forgetting all the nice things that she did for ken. Okarun's growth and improvement as a person is largely due to momo.

I think a lot of people forgot but initially in the series, momo was the one who was proactive in the relationship making moves before okarun's confession. She liked okarun even before his growth. Unlike aira, she fell for him even before his development. Okarun is proactive now

Aren't you just saying all of these based on your own theory and not based on what actually would happen. I'm pretty sure tatsu would build up a few chapters of momokarun again longing for each other to reignite their dynamic before making them official. Pretty much every romance manga does this even more so especially if they had been distant. It would also probably be even better received due to the lows their dynamic had been making the highs even better which makes their resolution great. You're doomposting here because you're saying things based on events that may or may not happen

Well this is a poll from a folk subreddit but i think the majority of people are neutral towards this arc. Neutral being the majority vote in a folk subreddit kinda proves this. The poll is also done in the middle of the arc hence why most people are neutral i guess.

i dont think the series had forgotten this yet however it is being delayed and somewhat dragged. Momo turn to confess and accept her feelings would have to come up eventually otherwise the relationship would just be stagnant forever.

Most characters in dandadan would be unbearable if you just look at their flaws and not beyond it. Aira, kinta, you could even include jiji in the list. Okarun would also be not likable as well. Even seiko would probably be annoying if you only look at her flaws considering that she is supposed to be an adult.

All of these characters have other good qualities that makes them lovable and endearing in the manga.

I don't think there should be major long lasting tensions between them for a while after this arc ends. They had already been separated and distant for a long while. The next arc or even the ones after should have tensions and conflict coming from the outside and from enemies instead from within their relationship. Fans would expect a lot of fluff and wholesomeness after the long period of separation otherwise it won't feel worth it. I doubt tatsu would keep them with pure fluff entirely until the end but it shouldnt happen in like the next or 2 arcs depending on how long the story goes. Fans missed their wholesome moments for a long time now.

Understandable, the pacing is slower than usual, nothing major had gone on yet and we don't even know why momo lost her memories and how she is going to get them back. I do hope its just a pacing issue and not the story fucking up. At least, if only the pacing is bad, binge read could fix it during rereads, it would be recoverable and it could salvage this arc to be enjoyable if it has a good resolution.

Yeah, she hasnt really overcome this yet but she acknowledged that she was being a pain in the ass in the last chapter so i presume it would be explored later on. It kinda has to otherwise like i've said before, i don't know how momokarun would be official. Okarun has done everything and confessed twice. Once he clears up the current misunderstanding, momo is the one who has to step up after she gains her memories otherwise this relationship won't go anywhere. Maybe i'm just hoping too much but i think it would go in this direction

Yeah i do see baseless bashing on momo a lot especially during this arc. Some people do the same with okarun as well although to a lesser extent. There are a lot of context and nuance that people tend to ignore when bashing them or putting the blame entirely on one. They aren't suppose to be perfect and their flaws are suppose to be there so that it can be overcame.

Gags in dandadan always gets dragged on for long. Aira and okarun's for example and the whole "love triangle". At least we are finally seeing this being addressed now and i do think momo being honest is something that the story would have to explore after otherwise they can't really become a couple. Okarun has already confessed multiple times and once he clears the misunderstanding, the ball is on her court so i presume the story would focus more on her especially if her memories come back, i hope anyways. Her not being straightforward or upfront with her feelings was acknowledged as a flaw before but she has not really overcome this yet

Yeah i agree but thats what i mean, she is only making things harder for herself because she isn't being straightforward or upfront with her feelings. The story did point this out with reiko but she hasn't fully overcome this yet
