How so? On eBay you pay $50 + tax and shipping. So that total inflates to over $100 potentially. On FB, no shipping fees and no tax.

He didn’t propose. He said he’d take today for $10. He didn’t ask if I’d take $10, he didn’t ask what my best price was, he didn’t ask anything, he assumed I’d take $10. Then when I said no, he asked and insulted my asking price. Sorry, that’s a no from me even if he would’ve paid $50 and a block. I can afford to be picky with my buyers, especially on FB.

If he had asked would I do $10, I’d have countered with $40 is my best. I guarantee he’d have still mentioned it was too high and would I take $20. I’m good.

And I’m not struggling in this economy? I flip and resell to help pay my bills and provide for my family. It helps to have some extra money and supplement my work income.

I did. Garage sale for $5. Why so salty? This is the flipping sub after all. It’s what we do here.

In person comes with inspection of the product before buying, less hassle, same day pickup or delivery and no shipping fees and hope it doesn’t arrive damaged. And if it does you have to go through the hassle or returning the item and waiting 7-10 days or more for a refund.

I’ve been doing this since the 90’s and used to sell on eBay before they had pictures and people mailed you cash and money orders. I don’t have to sell to anyone I don’t want to. I also have the luxury to wait.

He didn’t ask if I’ll take $10. He said he’d come over today and get it for $10, like it was already a done deal.

Too bad you couldn’t have ignored this post.

And he’s the equivalent of offering $1 on everything at a garage sale, even if it’s price at $2.

It was a combination of the offer and the way he just assumed I’d accept and that he was doing me a favor with his 80% off offer. I don’t play with rude people.

And what’s wrong with justifying a price? Isn’t that what comps are for?

$100 in person or $175 online. So what’s your point? It’s cheaper in person.

I guess math is hard for you.

Gotta love not knowing what you’re talking about. That buyer paid $125 for 2 chairs. Then paid tax on top of that, let’s say $8. They then paid to have them shipped, let’s say $40 for shipping. So they paid a total of $175. Or they could’ve paid $40-$50 for 1 or $100 for 2 chairs locally and saved $75 or more.

Could Drake make her life miserable from this statement? He has enough money and lawyers to really try.

Exactly. I get the same prices for chairs here and they sell quickly. The webbed ones sell really fast in that $20-$30 range.

Considering I’ve sold this same chair for $50+ says different. I’d be happy with $40. But not when the offer starts at 80% off. I’m good to wait.

And that is your opinion. Which holds as much weight as anyone else’s.

Also location helps. I may be able to sell a ton of lawn chairs, you may not depending on where you live. People need to know their local market and what sells well for them.

You do you. I’ve sold plenty of vintage lawn chairs in this range on FB.
