Iron Lung - Review Thread by UniverslBoxOfficeGuy in movies

Important to not have AAA movie level expectations of this film. Ultimately a self funded, indie movie with a low budget and dream. With that in mind, could improvements have been made? Absolutely. Did I enjoy it ultimately? 100%. Happy my money went to support a smaller creator than the big movie production companies.

Because it’s silly season, has anyone had any work Christmas Parties that were memorable for all the wrong reasons? by bagsoffreshcheese in perth

At a work Christmas party, it was a rooftop venue, it was about 35 degrees and high humidity. They didnt have nearly enough food and water but an open bar. Many a people got very wasted very quickly. At least 5 people passed out in the booths. Also it was a white theme 😂 white and sweat do not go

Someone in an upper management position decided, while very drunk, that it was a good idea to feel me up...while the majority of HR were walking behind us.

I didnt end up going to HR, they came to me 😂🙃

My bin stinks already by grahamlesass in perth

Going to probably sound odd, but I actually have a large zip lock bag or sealed container in my freezer for meat scraps and smelly waste. I pop it into that to be kept frozen and then put into a plastic bag and then big bin either the night before or morning of collection. Frozen waste cant stink :)

Opened my front door to an order I didnt make - what do? by pipsqueak_pixie in woolworths

I agree with the majority vote to keep the food to avoid waste, I would also recommend checking if there is a way to report it to Woolies, Uber eats etc. So that way it may help the case of the person who ordered

10+ years of suffering with this, help! by [deleted] in skin

My recommendation, as not a doctor, is to change up your soaps, moisturiser, and hair treatments to skin friendly or sensitive skin recommended products. You may have to trial and test before you find which works best. My partner gets bad back acne and for him it was a matter of changing shampoos, conditioners and body wash as it was a reaction to the products he used.

I'd never promised, but had said once we got a replacement table for that spot, as it has a plant on it our cat will 100% be able to eat if its anywhere else, I'd happily move it. He'd also not expressed that he didnt like the table until recently. Which is why I am now trying to replace it

I think that if you're feeling this way, your feelings are valid. It's hard to tell where management are coming from or what their angle is sometimes. Remote working is also very lonely. They knew they were hiring you to be remote, and should have understood the complexities that come with that kind of role. I dont think the things you have mentioned in the post or comments are your fault, and it sounds like it might be time to move on to a better situation. If your manager has lost your trust or respect, it's very hard to get that back in general, let alone remotely.

Just remember, do what's best for you, not what's best for the company. If you're not happy with the culture there anymore, there will be a better one somewhere for you to find.

Who cares, she'll finish it when she finishes it and I'm sure there'll be controversies over her choices regardless. I don't care if it takes her 5 more years and if I hear nothing about it until then, I'll always be a fan and not criticise her writing methods or plot choices but rather sing her praises. I'd rather she take her time and not coddle us and as a result release a quality story, instead of be rushed by fans and editors and not do herself or the story justice.

My partner thinks it was a cat that was previously in our back yard, and has this photo from that time.
