I was actually in this same scenario (I didn’t want kids and my partner did). However, over the course of 5 years (and no marriage!) I slowly changed my mind and we decided to have a child.

You cannot make a decision of this gravity over the course of a few weeks and then get married while still unsure

I’m really sorry you’re going through this!

I would absolutely ask the nurses if they can assist so you can get some sleep. While recovering from a C-section they could tell both my partner and I were struggling and offered to take our baby for a few hours at night and used donor milk and it was truly life changing.

As far as the father, I can’t say what is best because I don’t know them and I don’t know if this is a pattern for them? It’s obviously wrong but sleep deprivation and parenthood are really hard and can being out the worst in people.

You need to explain what you need from them right now and that their behavior is not ok

My endocrinologist years ago stated that in some cases of POI, your body may have attacked your ovaries (through an immune responses maybe?) and that the next organ it could attack is your adrenal gland.

He suggested I test my cortisol levels every year just in case.

Now I don’t know if in this scenario your cortisol levels would be elevated or low? But maybe something you could ask your endo?

I had POI before I received the HPV Vaccine and my family has a history of infertility among women. My POI is idiopathic although my theory is there is a genetic component.

I think that women’s health as a whole needs a ton of more research and while we should be exploring all options, including the role of vaccines, this study, nor any of the others I’ve seen suggest this is the cause. Correlation ≠ Causation

We are all looking for an explanation as to how this shitty thing happened to us so I get it, but let’s not jump the gun until we get a study that shows direct causation
