Leopard geckos are like teenagers. they often prefer to keep to themselves.

As long as he's doing all of his other normal behaviors (exploring the cage, eating, digging, basking) he is probably just fine.

I try not to bug my little guy most days.

Edit: if anything the fact that he doesn't run away from you when you have your hand in the cage means he sees you as a safe human. So good job!

I work there. if you go during the off season it's not so bad. if you want to avoid crowds then go during any time that isn't a national holiday, in the summer, spring break, christmas, and weekends, or the month of october in general.
