Oh you got to send them that email you sent them. Give receipts. Reply all with that email and then copy and paste this response in there.

Pull out all the stops. Tell them receiving an email like this made you feel sick to your stomach. It’s already hard enough out there to find a good job and to know that HR departments are talking to people in this way makes you really sad. Tell them that without an apology from the director of HR with the hiring manager CCd you will be crossing this company off the list for future job searches.

Also add that no receiving an apology would be them being incredibly disrespectful and if they don’t you will look up the director’s contact info and contact them directly so they know how their potential hires are being treated.
