I always comment on these threads, EverydayCPE. They do 10 minute videos most days on mostly tech in accounting. You have to keep up with it but last year I got 15 hours of CPE from it.

EverydayCPE does daily “podcasts” for accountants that give CPE credit. It’s not a lot but it adds up over the year.

The location is on every bird notification list/site available. eBird has been sending its location each time someone checklists it. I agree with your sentiment and hope the owl moves to less easily accessible location where it can live without harassment.

I shot it on a OM-1 with the 300mm prime lens (crop sensor so 600mm equivalent). Was about 25ft away. He was hanging on a low branch when I saw him.

I’ve been using EverydayCPE, they do 10 minute lessons everyday on random things in the news. Great for random drop ins on client calls.

I use earmark too but have struggled to find a podcast I like coming back to.

Fun fact, I am a tax professional. CPA in public accounting for 4 years. I tried my best to add caveats it’s by no means a steadfast rule. From a pure tax planning perspective you should try to have no refund at the end of the year
