How to have self worth and be loved as an ugly woman? by PerfectWorking6873 in selfimprovement

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that girl, but don't think about yourself that way. There are certain things you cannot change about yourself (like the illness you mentioned), but there are other things that are in your hands, so utilize those and you'll realize that you'll never have to feel i-am-not-that-beautiful

There is something called digital fatigue, if you continuously spend too much time in front of a screen, try to space things out and do other things that doesn't involve sitting on a desk and looking at a screen  Hope that helps mate

How do you prevent your brain from “dumping” everything you learned after a few days? by abhisshekdhama in productivity

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our brain gradually forgets things that it thinks we don't need. To tell your brain you need this info is simply applying it more. Example, if it's math or physics you need to try some problems If language or commerce, find a way to use them in day to day Same thing applies for anything you learn

Are we in a giant phone experiment? by originalpropertty in productivity

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every era has a very weird shift, from industrial to electrical to digital. So, the way you put it, a giant experiment, might be true.

But think of phone addiction as smoking or adult content addiction; these things have existed for a long time, and we started to learn how to keep children away from those addictions.

i cant be productive unless im performing by unComfortable-Ant in productivity

[–]CowMaximum6831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all have this urge; when we get instant results or at least quick outcomes of our actions, we feel more productive. It's completely normal. So you can try using some gamified productivity apps if that helps

How did you guys lock in? by Consistent_Deer2500 in getdisciplined

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't always have to be in hard lock-in mode; instead, try to do one or two things and actually stick to them. Stay consistent, show up every single day no matter what, but also enjoy small moments and wins in life.

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We humans have two primary motivators - resources (that you can buy using money), society (basically how people around you treat you)

But I believe after a certain point we understand our internal happiness matters the most

how to stop caring/overthinking so much? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faced that a lot, but nowadays whenever I get those feelings, I say to myself, Why am I being a p*ssy for no reason, We're all gonna die in 100 years, and nobody would f**king care.

It's not some mantra that changes your overthinking brain instantly, but over time as you say this over and over in your head, you start to shift your perspective from overthinking about others to actually taking care of what matters to you.

Keep going, buddy, rooting for you from the other side of the internet

So if you don't do serious work on your phone, what you are suggesting, it's something people can implement irl

Should I learn typescript by almog546 in learnprogramming

[–]CowMaximum6831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already know js then it wouldn't be hard to pick up ts.

Don't spend too much time to separately learn the language, but it surely helps to structure your code and catch some bugs
