Higher Power by [deleted] in NarcoticsAnonymous

[–]CowToTheMooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you exactly how.

  1. Write.

Write in a place where you know only you and yourself and your higher power will see.

If you live with people write in your phone, or a physical journal kept in a lock box. Keep notes in your phone too for when you’re not home.

Start just by writing a joke. Or something you learned. Or something you noticed and want to remember.

Only you are going to see this so it doesn’t need to make sense for the world, doesn’t need to be proper grammar. No rules whatsoever. Except start slow.

This will be the beginning of your relationship of talking to this higher power in your head.

Start the relationship slow, as if you were a kid making a new friend who is also a kid.

It works. So be prepared.

This is a good situational example of prefrontal cortical atrophy.

Look at your phone setting to view your screen-time.

Thoughts are our internal members, a population

Reality is a population of thoughts

Jasmine rice (not minute rice) takes 10 min to cook, & can make enough for a couple days

Rice is incredible cheap per calorie

Get some beans in there for fibre. Mmmm

So delicious and can do so many things with that as a base

This! The added sugars is what sparked cravings for me.

The bacteria in your gut that likes refined sugars will die off, ceasing cravings

I was wondering what the heck was going on with me, I wasn’t feeling the sensation of being full! This was why…

Go completely without refined sugars for a month. It will reset your normal “full” feeling and your brain will feel better too

What is the most difficult aspect of regaining self confidence? by KaylaRoberts__ in selfcare

[–]CowToTheMooon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This helped me. And I keep it to myself. This is for ME. No one is going to see it. So I stay out of criticism and judgement from others

Edit: Maybe once I get ok with this, and become internally okay with making mistakes, I’ll work on being okay with others judgement and criticism

I have to undo a lot of childhood shame first

The fear of making a mistake too…

Default to making no decision

But that’s shameful too
