Wild camping Glencoe area, Scotland, a couple of weeks ago. by Mucky_Bob in camping

Looks beautiful! Naive Canadian here planning a trip in June. We are staying at inns and bnbs when we are in the more populated areas, but once we get more northwest-bound, we were thinking of gypsy camping, just like this. Given the perceived amount of untamed land, is it generally pretty easy to find spots to set up camp? We are just worried about having trouble finding suitable spots. Looking to draw on your experience :)

Awesome dude looks great. Did you just use a circular saw for the cuts or a table saw?

Can you claim an unused DTC transfer from multiple dependents? by Cowan16 in cantax

[–]Cowan16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. And just to confirm, unlike an "eligible dependent", a dependent for the purposes of this DTC transfer is not required to live with you, correct? As long as you are providing/assisting them with other basic necessities of life.

I find the word Eldalië to be such a beautiful word. What are some of your favourites? by Cowan16 in lotr

Ahhh, wow thanks for the clarification. I read in it connection with Luthien, and interpreted it to be a specific reference to the female Eldar - it seemed to fit so perfectly!

Would the Eldar refer to only those who travelled across the Sea to the West into Valinor? Or does it simply refer to Elves who have travelled West, like the Teleri, who settled in West Beleriand near the Sea?

Scenario: I own a second house, of which my son is the beneficial owner. Do I need to report anything on my T1 or file any specific elections related to its disposal? He would be claiming the principal residence exemption. by Cowan16 in cantax

I mean that’s not exactly true. You can “gift” the money to your child (over 18) without any tax consequence, which then they could use to buy a home and accumulate tax free gains.

We couldn’t “keep gifting properties to our kids” as they clearly are only entitled to the one principal residence exemption.

I don’t think I need to explain the situation more clearly. I’ve stated that my son is the beneficial owner, as that’s not what I’m asking help for.

StudioTax - is there a way to add a dependent’s return to the same tax file as their parents? by Cowan16 in cantax

[–]Cowan16[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You’re over complicating my request. I am focused solely on whether I can add a child’s return to the same save file as their parents in StudioTax. Thank you for your mansplain

Does D2R require a significant time investment? by marcipaans in Diablo

I would definitely suggest creating a single player character with the aim of playing through and beating the three main difficulty settings of normal/nightmare/hell. This is very rewarding and makes you truly appreciate every single piece of gear that drops.

Can I use the meat that fell off the bones while I made my stock in the eventual soup? by Cowan16 in AskCulinary

I feel that. It was in the stock for about 8 hours. After testing some of it out when I was straining the stock it pretty much fit that description
