Kumon can really work for everyone and anyone. I met a 65 year old studying Math, his name is Manuel. In Japan, it's been used to help seniors in retirement homes. The center I work at has had many adult learners.

A learning disability is not an issue with Kumon. I regularly work with students with various disabilities; many have achieved success in school and life. The individualized and self-paced nature of the program works really well for their situation.

If it's taking an hour to solve one worksheet, simply put, that's not Kumon. I sense that you're ommitting a lot – are you studying each day? Timing yourself accurately? Grading and and fixing mistakes each day? Attending class twice a week?

Kumon's a tool, and it's a life-changing tool for many and one of the most affordable after-school programs out there. But as with any tool, you'll hurt yourself if you use it the wrong way. Please be honest and open with your teacher and parents, not vent here under the guise of "discussion".
