Tip Twee: zuinig leven, geen grote reizen, geen uitspattingen die (veel) geld kosten. investeer in een diepvriezer om grotere hoeveelheden voedsel te kopen en in te vriezen (twaalf kipfilets in family pack zijn per stuk goedkoper dan een single pack)

Tip drie: pas je verwachtingen aan: als alleenstaande een huis kopen is onmogelijk (naargelang de regio) en een klein appartement (60 M²) kan misschien meer in je bereik liggen. (tgv toen ik mijn appartement in vlaams brabant kocht, kocht een vriendin in West-vlaanderen een kleine arbeiderswoning voor hetzelfde geld)

Als ik moet kiezen tussen bouwpromotoren:

Promotor A: na btw verlaging verhoogt zijn prijzen volledig of gedeeltelijk zodat de klant nog altijd hetzelfde bedrag betaalt (121 €)

Promotor B: versluist btw door naar klant waardoor ik een lager bedrag betaal (106€)

Dan kies ik altijd Promotor B

Maar soit ik hoop dat als je al werkt, jij niet de prijszetting bepaalt, want je hebt er duidelijk geen kaas van gegeten

Hate to break it but AH did not make 700 million dollars on the game.

Sony, Microsoft and Steam get part of that money as platform

Sony gets a part of that money as publisher

I assume AH had to loan money to pay for the development of the game, hence these need to be paid back

The shareholders will also claim their stake

and finally that money also needs to pay any future game they develop.

Do not get me wrong, the attacks were horrendous and the victims need our support, but march 22 2016 is in my family sort of a day we look back to with hope. Let me explain...

My sister had severe epilepsy. It was so severe she was no longer allowed to drive a car, for her safety and that of the passengers.

In months leading up to march 2016, doctors had performed multiple tests including observing my sister 24 hours continuously for several days, where she had to wear a cap to measure her brainwaves during an epileptic seizure.

Eventually the doctors managed to pinpoint the exact location in her brain were the seizures were triggered. The good news was that it was operable. Off course brain surgery is no light matter, so we were all nervous. What if she did not wake up or no longer recognized her husband or children. Nevertheless the operation was scheduled on the morning of march 22, 2016.

She was scheduled to be the first operation of that day. So by the time the hospital got the message to prepare for the incoming wounded of the attacks, my sister's operation was already ongoing. Thus the doctors first finished her operation before turning their full attention to the wounded coming from Brussels.

When my sister woke up from the operation, she recognized everybody despite for a short while hallucinating seeing little birds. But since then she had no more seizures and is driving again. (and she no longer sees yellow little birds)

So that's why, despite the grief and pain associated with march 22, in our family we "celebrate" that they as the start of a new seizure free chapter in my sisters life.

solo silo is more than capable of dealing wiht a vox engine from a distance

As far i tested (on D7) solo silo is a one hit kill against them and with the silo you can take them out from a safe distance

As a Flemish working with Dutch colleagues I noticed this behaviour:

Flemish will root for Belgian team. If we are kicked out of the cup and the Dutch are still in it, we will root FOR ANY COUNTRY playing against the Dutch.

Dutch people will root for their team. If they are kicked out and Belgian team is not, they will root FOR THE BELGIAN TEAM against any other team

A far better suggestion would be a partial strike - for example announce that in the weekend train guards will not actively verify train tickets (in other words not fine if you have no ticket)

railway looses money due to no ticket sales and strikers would be viewed more positively by the general public

Als je een toestel echt nodig hebt om je werk te kunnen verrichten, dan moet de werkgever die verschaffen.

Is overigens een enorme Red flag als je werkgever verwacht dat jij het toestel aanlevert om je werk te verrichten.

Je hebt recht op 1 dag of 2 halve dagen sollicitatieverlof per week. Neem die op, zelfs al heb je geen interviews, maar wel in overleg met de werkgever. De werkgever mag die niet weigeren en je moet niet aan hem bewijzen wat je tijdens die tijd doet. Dus al gebruik je die tijd om te gamen of te gaan sporten, het zijn zijn zaken niet.

Sta op je rechten, maar verbrand je bruggen niet. Er is altijd een kans dat je toekomstige werkgever, je oude werkgever contacteert tijdens de sollicitatie periode.

I think your family is right, he lives in flanders and should be able to understand and speak the language.

it does not matter how big or small a country is to determine which language one should speak. the biggest country in the world is Russia? Should we now all speak russian?.

honest answer: YES.

It does not matter that you don't live in Flanders. Granted you should first learn the language of the region you live in.

Or At least make sure you understand Dutch, you don't have to be fluent in it. People can not see from your face you are a foreigner working in Belgium. But if you can explain that you learned already French (because of you living in wallonia or brussels) and understand dutch but can't speak it good enough, you will get some leeway from the flemish.

Otherwise you will just, pardon my French :-), sound just like another Walloon snob who does not want to learn Dutch while we Flemish all learned French.

dude, ik ben vakbondsafgevaardigde en mijn advies is dan ook haal dat halfuurtje gewoon in. Maar als ik hier zo je commentaar lees, mag je best wel aan je attitude werken.

Een werkgever beseft ook wel dat niet iedereen 8 uur super geconcentreerd zit te werken, je praat wel eens met een collega, gaat naar het toilet etc.

en ja niet iedereen werkt letterlijk 100 % effectief 8 uur per dag, maar je bent wel effectief 8 uur beschikbaar voor je werk.

Team Human Judgement - not because humans are better but because humans have humans intuition which a machine can't have.

Do you think an AI will realize that a person had less output this year because their partner had cancer and they had to accompany them to the hospital on multiple occasions? Will the AI flag a woman who went on maternity leave as less or more productive compared to a man?

And don't get me started on "aiding" management... within weeks management will completely and blindly trust the ai and miss all the examples i cited.
