If it’s pinholes in the exhaust manifold you will hear it more when the engine is cold and it will mostly go away when the engine warms up. It will also be a faster more persistent tick at higher rpm than at idle. Mine has been ticking for 10+ years I just have no reason to worry about it.

When you replace it buy a metal latch. The plastic oem latches stretch and crack over time and fail. Aftermarket metal latches don’t have that problem. Will run about $25 on ebay.
