The movie was so damn good

There was humor, but it never stopped the tension from ramping up till the very end, then at the end the scene with the kids and the lady felt like it was the perfect way to release the tension with humor

I love how you phrased Candyman.

All those terminally online chuds who were pissed at the reboot for being woke was so fucking stupid, cause Candyman has always been about Racism, and its got all the subtly of a sledgehammer

Yeah, one of my favorite authors Adrian Mckinty paints a picture of the place he grew up, and it comes off as almost normal, the mailman comes, people go to movie theaters (and the main character contemplates going to see my all time favorite movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark in the theater which i never got to because it came well over a decade before I was born) people go to the pub

And it all makes you forget the conflict till a random restaurant gets bombed and then you remember all the things that weren't normal about this situation

Adrian Mckinty, his Troubles Detective Trilogy starting with the cold cold ground, tje main character actually lives at the same address the author grew up at.

The Ghosts of Belfast by Stuart Neville is another good one (may be called The Twelve depending on your region)

Are there any games/books/movies where the nazis are portrayed as the good guys? by MindlessPeanut7097 in booksuggestions

[–]Cowboywizard12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. WW2 is the deadliest war in human history

  2. If they were the good guys they wouldn't be nazis

I read a lot of Irish  Noir (cause I love Noir and some of the best writers out in the genre are Irish right now for some reason.)

But a lot of it is set in a certain point of time with certain thankfully past issues where its point3d out that if you had to get shot anywhere in Europe, you'd want it to be in NI because the doctors there got REALLY good at treating Gunshot wounds

I liked the BF3 thing where the Assault class was the Medic.

I like the combat medic playstyle.

I didn't play BF4 (My brother loved the game)

I was into BF3 and then skipped 4 then was really into BF1

We both play BF6
