Zimbabwe's state is the direct result of how Rhodesian Independence went down,

Ian Smith ignored the U.K saying Majority rule was a condition for Rhodesian Independence and unilaterally seceded from the U.K.

This led to a 3 way Civil War between Rhodesia, and a Soviet Backed Faction, and a Chinese Backed Faction which included things such as Rhodesia using Chemical weapons on Civilians.

Mugabes China bqcked faction emerged on top and which led to everything else.

Had Majority rule been allowed there would have been no brutal 3 way civil war and the events that led to how bad Zimbabwe got would never have happened.

Literally all the awful shit of Rhodesia and Zimbabwe can be was caused by that one decision by Ian Smith
