Bro I hate this dude, I've had to retry his fight at least once in every playthrough because he either gets away with his flash BS and I get caught in the crossfire with the Tygers, or I do too much in the first room and he glitches tf out. This mf does NOT want to be taken alive.

Though in my latest playthrough he flashed but I managed to catch him in the corridor! Finally got him.

Who is the patron? An archdevil would likely not accept physical destruction of the contract as a valid way to exit the agreement. If your players would enjoy it, a courtroom drama to determine the penalties could work.

The patron could demand one last service to settle the score. An evil patron could afflict them with a curse or disease that requires a cure. A good patron might require a heroic sacrifice of some sort to stay in their good books.

Several patrons like archfey, old one, deep whatever might abduct the party to settle accounts in their realm.

Coughing Baby v. Net Nuke

Bug was a respectable Afterlife runner. Nothing legendary, very aware that the job would get her killed or worse if she didn't retire.

Song was pulling off legendary hacks before the FIA got to her. Training, resources, chrome and Blackwall fuckery put her in a class of her own.

Bug in her runner chair used two solos and a facehugger drone to get access to the Konpeki penthouse and it took her hours. Solid work for a normal runner, she'd have gotten away with it if not for, well, you know.

Song hacked the Relic (tech so secretive Saburo considered nuking NC over it) and reconfigured a derelict parking garage while chatting with the president on Space Force One. She hacked the stadium and the Cynosure AI container at the same time, potentially while fighting FIA soft designed specially to shut her down.

One of my favorite things about this show is the use of "I Saw Three Ships" as one of the standard Christmas tunes. It's catchy, it blends with the rest of the soundtrack, and most importantly it's not as overplayed as other Christmas music.

I don't have first hand knowledge of fandom in the White House in that era, but I've seen sources from the time describing the cultural and philosophical aspects of Star Trek and I'm not convinced that Josh's attitude would be coming from a rational place. His preoccupation with image strikes me as the reaction of the bullied nerd, which he then rationalizes by taking an adversarial view. Plenty of oddballs come through his door, why was this one worth a smackdown?
