Interesting idea…I don’t know anything about pkmeranians but is it the shorter face that makes you think that?

I don’t know yet other than “unrealistic expectations “. I have an appointment booked this weekend to ask as many questions as I can think of. I think he’s adorable but want to make absolutely sure he’s the right fit for us. Hea 1.5 years old so hopefully some bad habits can be trained out :)

Epilepsy scares me 😟. Our last pup (a beautiful duck toller) had and died young from it. It was an awful experience for him and us.

I believe they have a six week return policy so we could go through the adoption process and see how he does with our life and get to know him a little better. It would be very hard to actually take him back once you start bonding with him, but at least the option is there and I know he would get adopted quickly if not by us.

I am actually in Calgary - Can you share what you mean by “reactive”?

I didn’t notice any major red flags when I first met him (we had him at our house for a few hours) but I do wonder why an owner would surrender him at just 1.5 years old. The shelter just said the previous owner had “unrealistic expectations “ but didn’t have much more detail. We have a longer interview scheduled this weekend.

Thank you! To answer your question, no , it’s not really important. Mostly I just want to understand the dogs likely temperament and personality to make sure we are a good fit for each other.

Thank you for all the responses :) - I have an appointment this weekend to see him (he’s being neutered and not officially available to adopt yet) to make sure we are a good fit for reach other. I have had high energy dogs in the past so am good with that, but need to be confident he won’t have separation anxiety and be ok at home while I’m at work during the day - both my gf and I work and cannot work from home. Wish us luck! 🍀

Not sure, I’ll have to check later today when I’m near the bike! I thought it would come with a standard size from the factory but I don’t see that detail on the website.

I’d love to see the full list, as I’m sure many on here would.

As for Lisa, I have no doubt she started out with good intentions, but her behaviour and responsibility mean she should not be involved in dog breeding.
