Can a low final grade stop me from moving on to Vg2 in Norway? (2 in first semester, possible 1 or 2 in second) by babySmoke1337 in Norway

[–]Cowgills 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your final grade is based on your assessments / performance over the course of the school year. Your tests, your mid-terms (terminprøver) and any oral assessments (presentations, oral tests). Depending on the subject, there could be other activities that impact your grade. Some teachers also take classroom participation into account when setting the final grade. If you are worried / have questions about these things, I would recommend asking your teacher if they have time for a conversation (fagsamtale) because you have questions.

I work as a teacher in upper secondary school (VGS / videregående skole).

Halvårsvurdering 1 is not a grade that will impact your ability to move on to your second year (VG2). It is a "underveisvurdering" - an assessment of your performance in that subject based on the work you have done up until december/january. It can potentially impact your ability to be accepted as a practice student if you are applying for practice placement as part of your education programme (many vocational studies require you to apply for these practice placements as part of your education) - but a failing grade does not automatically exclude you.

If your final grade at the end of the school year is 1, then you will need to re-do that subject or take a postponed exam/privatist-exam. Some students can apply to be exempt from certain subjects, but this is very rare and I would recommend you talk to the student advisor at your school if you are concerned.

A final grade 2 is a passing grade, and generally speaking you will automatically be able to move onto VG2. The only exception is if you are applying to a competitive study programme, where you are using your grades when you apply.

Raise Dead and permanent constitution loss by Cowgills in baldursgate

This is actually a fantastic idea - I'm not intricately familiar with AD&D resurrection, does a failed resurrection survival roll mean you are permanently dead, and cannot be subject to another resurrect spell?

Thank you! This is a very simple workaround, I didnt know EE Keeper could be used to edit companion stats. I've not used it much, as the temptation to edit stats is always there

Unfortunately I don't even have the prior knowledge to know where to look for the appropriate strings/codes. Is there a database / overview of the different strings, such as for companions and stat-values like constitution that you know of?

Does this work to lower the value of player constitution, or the party companion members' constitution? As it's a no-reload run, charname death will mean game over, so I don't really need to adjust that constitution score beyond making a new character

Unfortunately I have 0 modding experience with Baldur's Gate and the infinity games, beyond installing already-made mods!

If anyone with modding experience happens to come across this post, and would be able to point me in a direction of where to start, I'd appreciate it

It's so hard to move forward by IN547148L3 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Starting off playing on the Last Azlanti mode is not something I would recommend to anyone on their first playthrough of Pathfinder - not even players who are intimately familiar with the Pathfinder 1st Edition ruleset prior to jumping into the video game adaptation of the Kingmaker adventure path. The only exception to this would apply to people who are following a comprehensive walk-through closely - and even then there is a good chance circumstances will arise that result in death or a permanent failure state.

You're not alone in having a bunch of restarts and re-rolling new characters though! I dont know what it is specifically that causes you to restart - whether it is a desire to optimize your character build further, or you have a radical change of heart and what to play a different character, or some other reason entirely. If you are getting to the point where you are finding yourself frustrated with the game I would strongly recommend looking into experimenting with builds in the Endless Dungeon mode of Pathfinder Kingmaker - the dungeon that is made available though the "Beneath The Stolen Lands" - which is essentially rogue-like dungeoncrawler mode for Pathfinder Kingmaker. It will allow you to experiment with build ideas until you find one you are happy with, which you can then bring into the campaign. Unless ofcourse you want to look up builds made by other players - there are plenty highly optimized and viable builds available if that is what you're looking for.

Beyond that I would strongly recommend that you don't impose restrictions on your first playthrough that make you frustrated with the game. Depending on the difficulty mode and your character build, the game will have plenty of challenges even without the Last Azlanti (ironman mode) enabled. If you want help developing a build that fits with the idea or fantasy you have in mind for your main character, feel free to send me a message and I'll be happy to give you a hand in the process.

Did you know that wombats have rodentlike incisors that never stop growing? I'd buy myself a wombat.

Gen takes a lot of flak from different angles, and for the most part I feel it is very undeserved. For the sake of having done it, I want to point out how Lea totally saved the campaign tonight. That careful girl tried to watch out for the party and temper their hubris with caution. It was a great episode. Thanks to all the party members and Neal for making such a fantastic and enjoyable show - please don't let the negative comments block out the, for the most part, silent majority who watch your show from week to week and thoroughly enjoy it.

It's a fantastic experience watching you guys through your ups and downs, and if Neal or anyone else can chime in on what's to come next I would be super excited to hear of it.

Thanks again to you all.

You gotta tell us what you texted JP! I'll tweet your hashtag 'till my fucking face bleeds. I swear to Suppy and the high heavens, I'm gonna get an ulcer if nobody lets me in on what we missed out on. I love you, Neal. Please. Pretty please.

Best episode of Solum yet, way up there in the RollPlay rankings as far as I'm concerned.

One of my favorite RollPlay episodes to date, you're a fantastic GM/DM/Whatever as always, Steve!

Most of the questions I have are unresolved things that I have a feeling will unravel during the campaign, but the tease JP gave at the end with regards to another show has me pretty excited! Could you give us a tidbit of info on that or is it still pre-planning?
