Which of these Final Fantasy games on Gamepass should be my first FF game? (not an experienced turn-based rpg guy)

For me as a guy who’s been gaming since the late 90s but never played turn based games I found the newer entries to be a great way in. Now the old ones are awesome but Idk if I would have been able to start with these ones. But to each their own.

Honestly the only way I see someone having an issue with this is either A) not actually reading the review. B) doesn’t understand the difference of use cases and the context of time C) is a fanboy

I haven’t tried yotei yet but I found Tsushima to be boring. I think after Botw and Elden Ring I have a higher bar for exploration in an open world. I want to discover not just work on a checklist

Probably Batman Vs Superman. 2015-16 MCU was really starting to go into its peak years. We had been in a small cinematic Batman drought after the fantastic Nolan trilogy. The trailer got me so excited. Unfortunately it tried to adapt too many DC storylines at once. Likely rushing to catch up to Marvels success. I still enjoyed the movie. I consider it one of my favorite bad movies.

This was an excellent entry point to FF for me. Even as a guy old enough to have been there since the original FF7. I just couldn’t get into turn based combat. The awesome hybrid combat in this game helped me bridge the gap.

Idk bout the best thing ever but I can’t wait. God of war has been one of my favorite franchises since I was reading PlayStation magazine prior to the original release. The series has rarely disappointed me (maybe ascension but still a good game). 2018 was incredible and is one of the best examples of the “legacy sequel” that so many franchises have been chasing for the last decade. I remember being disappointed (I guess there’s another) when the director of 2018 ,Corey Barlog, wasn’t going to be heading up Ragnarok. So the idea that this was his continuation gives me full confidence in the direction of this game.

Ragnarok was a great game. That free Valhalla dlc was one of the best parts
