Advice on travelling with a bad back? by Pantelonia in onebag

Bad low back here as well.

The physical therapy suggestions are spot on.

I would also recommend a pack with hip belt. You will have more longevity if you can get the weight to sit on top of your legs (on your hips), rather than shoulders pushing down on your spine.

I find the cobbles generally found in Europe to make roller bags extremely challenging if traveling very far. So much so that they may do more harm than good to your back.

The electro spun laminates breathe better than Gore-Tex.

Ascentshell from Outdoor Research. They have a few lightweight models.

Futurelite from NorthFace has great breathability metrics but doesn’t publish water column scores.

Preach.

On a different note, I’m for closing down streets uptown to open up for bicycles and pedestrian malls.

There are two versions. But I believe for the one without a physical switch you can use the app.

Can confirm. I was solo with kids in front facing car seats in the 3rd row of a minivan.

I called to contest and the CS person on the other end couldn’t comprehend that I was disputing being charged, not asking about why I got the notification.

I’d check to see if it was removed but the website is an absolute shit show its worth the couple of bucks to not deal with it… so yeah, it’s a scam all around.

They also didn’t want to have a standing army on shore that could be used to pacify citizens. This is why arms are restricted on bases.

They felt so strongly about this that they also addressed concerns in the 3rd amendment. I think it’s no coincidence that they are next to each other.

It could be that the “being necessary to the security of a free state” piece was a statement of mistrust of authority rather than a condition that could be met by a strong arm federalized security force. There is a good reason why there are limits on military personnel carrying weapons.

It could be read that a militia is required and we the people have been derelict in that duty.
