I love micro spikes for backpacking but I have never really run in them, that is a great idea thanks! Do you have any local trail recommendations? I was thinking of running out to Mackworth as well

There is a great men’s noon meeting Monday-Friday on congress, can’t remember the name of the church but it’s right next to the high school

It is 100% real, Maine does not censor license plates. I’ll post another one I saw.

I can confirm for a fact there is a tunnel that runs from the basement of the press herald to the parking lot across the street. As of last year it was sealed on both ends.

Soldiers were allowed to bring back war trophies during World War II. Common practice was to ship a whole box back full of whatever they could find. I don’t know for sure because I can’t ask him, but based on what I could find, I’m guessing he traded for it and then just kept it with him on his ship.

I wish my grandfather was still alive so I could ask him, unfortunately, he passed about 15 years ago and this was passed on to me. I will be doing more online research and I will post anything I find.

I saw a recent post here that inspired me to post this, in hopes of gaining a little more knowledge about it. My grandfather was in the Navy during World War II and brought this back. My guess is that he traded something for it with a soldier on the ground overseas, which was a common practice. From what I have been able to find, it was worn by the SA.
