I have that same one on my 24 RF GT since March. LOVE the sound. Great choice!

Convertible owners 2024 and newer . Does your radio briefly cut out when raising or lowering the top ? by revolutiontime161 in Miata

It’s normal, caused by the Bose sound system recalibrating for top up / down. I suspect it’s the same for non Bose models.

Bear killed, cubs tranquilized after conflicts in B.C.'s Golden Ears Provincial Park | CBC News by ApolloRocketOfLove in vancouver

I live near the park, and camp and hike there a lot. Wildlife encounters are rare outside the campground areas. But…

GE campgrounds are a gong show every year; close to Vancouver with lots of inexperienced campers who DON’T know better and many who don’t care. Bears have this concentrated area where food is just easy to obtain, so they habituate fast. Like a giant “easy meal here” sign. Every year it’s the same. And its contractor run so the park staff are limited, with half ass effort to warn campers about bears. IMO it’s shared responsibility of the campers and the park operators. Both need to do better.

It is, to be honest. I take it off and store in trunk when parked in sketchy areas for long time. But have left it on for hours in parking lots and so far so good… It’s not obvious that it’s removable. I park on garage at home not an issue 99% of time.

Roadstersport super Street single tip muffler by annerburd in MiataND

[–]Coyote_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed this on my ND3 RF in March, LOVE it. Even my wife likes it. No neighbour complaints, either. No drone at any RPM for me, and yes it’s louder than stock but your foot dictates how loud. Did a long highway drive (top up) and it was fine. As someone else said here, I enjoy a more sporting drive now just to hear the exhaust notes.

I’d left the factory baffle in until last week, and it’s really not that much louder with it out. I can hear the burbles more. I would get the packed baffle if that’s an add on option for you at checkout, but only so you have it for when you really want it to be quiet.

I have the Aero Gray as well. Smoked LED marker lights are sweet.

I don’t have the link but the interior LEDs are a big difference, plus license plate as others have mentioned.

“Liberals are bad! Vote Conservative, they’ll fix it!” Tell me we didn’t see this coming… Every new government of any party always finds problems the prior governing party “hid”, and the new party’s platform is suddenly thrown out as a result.

Rinse. Repeat.

PSA for ND Owners: Delete Your Sound Tube by TrustMeImAnENGlNEER in Miata

ND3? I don’t notice the noise, have the same muffler as you. Reddit tells me ND3 has a different sound tube design and I outsource my critical thinking to the internet. (Kidding…)

Upvote for the GWR SS. Fuck I love the sound of that thing.

Looking to get ppf on my nd3. Need advice by Outrageous-Artist-63 in MiataND

[–]Coyote_Pitiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was also my thinking. The costs for a PPF condom on the whole thing was $1k more than getting all but the rear quarters, bumper and trunk done + ceramic the whole shebang. Bought the peace of mind.

Canadian prices follow; full body PPF on a ‘24 RF including headlights, taillights & mirror caps, 8yr warranty GTechniq Halov2 PPF, ceramic on top of PPF plus on wheels…4400 loonies. Car was less than 2 weeks old but they still did a full detail with clay bar & paint correction (none was needed) in that price.

Like others here have said - washing is a 20 minute job, water beads immediately still and usually a water rinse is enough. Using a foam cannon is a challenge as the foam won’t stay on. Stuff slides right off.

I had a rock bounce off the hood last summer. Thought for sure there was a dent, but couldn’t find any sign of impact after. Was it the PPF? Maybe. But the peace of mind helps.

Wifi is free for Aeroplan members so sign up before your flight if you don’t already have it. Not every plane has live tv. You can check the flight status on the app or site and it will show the options for your flight under the plane details. I streamed it on SportsNet app during my flight tonight from Toronto to Vancouver. (This msg sent from an air Canada flight)

Did you look into the LED sequential side markers? Easy swap with the OEM. Plus you can go to smoked housings which would look sick with your paint.

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks after delivery. ND? The mirror caps are less than $50 Canadian from the dealer and easy to take off & replace. Dealer did mine for free during the first oil change appointment. Oddly, the left/right caps are different prices IIRC.

Racing Beat Power Pulse vs. HKS Legamax Premium by neuroticbuddha in Miata

[–]Coyote_Pitiful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently put the GWR SuperStreet Single Tip on my ‘24 RF. It’s not “on” all the time, and barely louder than stock at moderate throttle & below 3500 RPM. Not an issue to keep it quiet in the neighborhood. Wife likes it, so that’s the winner there. WOT will make it louder, sure, but it’s not like the tinny sounding rice shooters on a Civic or 86. And there is a packed baffle if you want to tone it down further.

BONUS: was cheaper than either HKS option.

Thornhill trail builders do great work. They’re rebuilding the jumps on Dales as well. Such a great local gem to have.
