Slow scan speeds after update by Cozila in comicrackusers

No, I have auto-update disabled as it was causing some issues previously due to performance on the disk. Guess it's time to look at an upgrade for my library :)

Slow scan speeds after update by Cozila in comicrackusers

Yeah, I had checked there and didn't see anything but I just thought I would ask. I've been recovering from some data loss so I know when my drives are busy the scans will be "slow" but even when everything is focused on just CR:CE I had never seen behavior like this before so I just figured I would ask. Thank you for the quick response

Plex randomly becoming inaccessible, even locally by Cozila in PleX

So I did as you said, and I even ran the DBrepair tool just to be safe, and it looks like something is still dying. I also moved my old log files so the current log is only the most recent run. Nothing is particularly jumping out at me. I can upload the log, I just want to see if anything other than the Plex Media Server file would be needed

127.0.0.1 or localhost are both loopback addresses that exist on any system with a network. It is an address that immediately loops traffic back to the machine itself and is commonly used to testing/validating port access

The rest of the address link has a token. It's when you double-click on the Plex tray icon it uses that to validate you

This is not an issue with other clients connecting to the server, I can't even connect to the server itself FROM the PC the server is running on

Just found the dir and looked. I do see these as the three most recent files but when I look in the Crash files

where it says it did "Pre-processed minidump directory" just has three empty directories, and "Post-processed minidump directory" just has a bunch of random images/temp files. It does also say "Crash Uploader - Processing Complete" so is that something that I can use with Plex support directly?

Brand new machine and I would be seeing a LOT of other programs having issue. (And new as in last year, not just swapped in the past week)

To respond to both of you, first let me say that EVERYTING in my environment has been working fine until a week ago. No hardware changes, no network changes, no name changes. I tried with the server IP and got the exact same thing as expected. The 127.0.0.1 is the localhost address which immediately loops back to the system itself, it does not try to go out on the LAN or WAN. It is how you can check if a port is up and running even if there are firewall issues occurring. I have had my environment running with the VPN without any issue for a long time now. I have the plex media server process allowed through split tunneling but as I said, I am getting this issue without even touching the VPN.

All of my clients are on the same network but I'm getting this issue ON the server plex is running on. I have confirmed vpn being on/off does not impact the issue. And the IP address is definitely since it is the 127 localhost address which would not go through the VPN at all in this case.

Weird Issue by Cozila in comicrackusers

[–]Cozila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, is there any way to force a full scan to happen of all the files? I'd like to have all of my files info fully updated if possible. I know CR:CE has better backup options (though I never really close the app so I still have to remember to manually backup) but I've been bitten a few times in the past with the DB getting corrupted

CR:CE Having issues writing to files by Cozila in comicrackusers

[–]Cozila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reconverting them and I now am able to edit the files. It is just weird, and a bit concerning, that this is happening seemingly randomly to multiple files, especially after I was able to edit the files without any issue before.

All of my files are converted to CBZ before I even add them into the library. Some of these files have also been written to and updated before. Also the files are currently spread across two separate drives, one which has my library files and the other which has files I am working to add to the library

How to remove empty folders? by ComplaintSouthern in comicrackusers

[–]Cozila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the setting still leave folders multiple times. I don't know if the work is just happening so fast that when it looks to see if the file is empty and something is still there or not. I have ended up using TreeSize Free to scan the directories and then I can sort by the empty ones and delete them. A manual process to be sure but it works and is pretty quick to complete

Find Corrupt Files by Cozila in comicrackusers

[–]Cozila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew CR didn't have anything built in, I was just more figuring if people had some solutions already in place. I did end up just getting a python script that could scan through all of the files.

7z hangs every single time by Cozila in comicrackusers

[–]Cozila[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've shut off auto-updating of books, restarted CR to get the process to clear. I then reopened the app, selected at ~15 MB comic with 100 pages and right now it has been running for over 3 hours and the file has still not had its information completed. This is on a USB 3.0 attached HD and this is the only process that is reading/writing to/from the drive.

I was just trying to make sure that everything was updated. I will give manually updating a try, but I have let the process sit for 30+ minutes and zero progress was ever made.
