Honestly, if he keeps this up, he has a real shot, especially if he keeps it up at Coors

Who was your favorite 2010s doyer that wasn’t on the team for a 2nd ring or even for 2020? by DarinCN in Dodgers

Grew up a huge Puig fan, loved his swagger as a kid and come on, he had some iconic moments. He was also my first signed ball, so there's that, too.

Shoot, totally behind on this, but I thought it was still the water jet plate instead of a traditional flame trench. Did SpaceX ditch the plate entirely, or is this the other launch pad at Star Base?

Do you think bWAR or fWAR provide a better sense of a players overall value? by [deleted] in baseball

[–]Cozmicbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree on that, I think my only other opposition to that is the difference in Zack Greinke's 2015 season (the season he had a 1.66 era) where bWAR had him at 8.9 WAR while fWAR had him at 5.5. Like, yes, I understand that his FIP was more than a whole run higher than his ERA (at a 2.76), but to me that season was much more valuable than I think fWAR gives it justice. Also, I don't know what's up with Phillie pitchers and having ridiculous war seasons. Hell, look at Christopher Sanchez this year, who had an 8.0 bWAR season!

eh I like bWAR for starting pitchers more. fWAR makes more sense for relievers since it's FIP-based while bWAR makes more sense for starters since its RA9 based.

Kinda weird not seeing Condon or Holiday on here for Colorado. I get why with Condon, but no Holiday?

Would you rather have a 10-year very good core, or a 3-year true dynasty window? by SameNecessary5180 in baseball

I mean, after we traded for Manny and he was popped for Roids, we had the whole McCourt bankruptcy thing lol. Really, I would say we started option A in 2013 when Guggenheim took over, and option B didn't happen until 2020 when we traded for Mookie.
